Before I start I’d once again like to say a massive thank you to Tommy & Sweet Seeds for sending out these new 3rd Generation Auto strains for us to try, and of course the fine folk who run UK420 for allowing this to happen.

With 6 strains to choose from, it was a difficult choice to pick which we were gonna crack as they all sound lovely, although from the start, the Sweet Special Auto was always a must, but we finally settled on:

  • 2x Sweet Special Auto
  • 2x Mohan Ram Auto
  • 1x + Speed Auto

.:| The Grand Plan |:.

This time I won’t be using the paper towel method, instead all 5 seeds will be put into a glass of water for around 12 hours, then put into their 1st 3” pots, covered with clingfilm to help get humidity up and placed in my microbox under 24 hour light. I’ve also added a reptile heat pad to help take the chill out, I’ve no idea if this will work, but we’ll soon see as I don’t want a repeat of my previous germination attempt!

Then at around 10 - 14 days, depending on growth, they’ll be potted up to their final 6.5 Litre pots, along with a good sprinkling of PM Granules then put into the tent under a 250w HPS and the light switched to 18/6 which they’ll stay on until harvest.

.:| Germination |:.

On the afternoon of Tues 17th January 2012 I put all 5 seeds into glasses of room temperature water to soak, I only wanted to leave them about 12 hours, but it ended up being closer to 18 and here’s some pics before they were submerged.

On the morning of Weds 18th January 2012 I put all 5 seeds into their first 3” round pots filled with pre-wetted PM Soil, I then covered them with clingflim and placed them into my microbox sat on top of the heat mat with no light on, at this point, only the Sweet Specials were showing slight signs of starting to crack, but it’s only early days yet, and here’s a pic of them sat in the microbox on a nice and warm heat mat.

.:| Day #1 – 24 Hour Lights |:.

On the morning of Fri 20th January 2012 I checked on the girls and 4 out of 5 were now poking their heads above the soil which definitely made me smile considering the problems I’ve been having :yahoo: so the lights got switched on will stay on for 24 hours for the next week or so. There was just Mohan Ram #2 that hadn’t cracked but for the moment, I can live with that, hopefully she’ll germ and catch up but I’m not going to lose any sleep if she doesn’t and here’s some photos which we’ll call Day #1.

.:| Day #2 – 24 Hour Lights |:.

It’s now Sat 21st January 2012 which is Day 2.

The 4 girls which germinated have now shed their little shells, albeit with a little help from me and are now starting to reach for the light so on this 2nd day, all is going well although still no sign of MR #2, I’ve not given up hope just yet, but if she does crack, it’ll be a bonus. Out of the 4, the + Speed is certainly living up to it’s name and in only 2 days is taller and a touch more advanced than the other 3.

No temp or RH reports as my thermometer is in the tent and there’s not a great deal else to add, so here’s some pics of this girls from today.

.:| Day #3 – 24 Hour Lights |:.

It’s now Sun 22nd January 2012 which is Day 3.

All 4 girls are continue to grow like wild fire at the moment, and height wise SS #1 has taken the lead, still no sign of Mohan Ram #2 yet but I still have faith, MR #1 is also the smallest of the 4 so they might be slow starters. As you can probably tell by the pics below, I’ve cut some straws up and placed them round the stem to help give them some stability.

Feed wise is just water which has been allowed to stand to get it to room temperature which at the moment is administered through a spray bottle, nowt else to report at this early stage so here’s the first summary with the heights of the plants taken from the top of the pot.

.:| Feeding |:.

  • Nutes: None
  • Beneficials: None
  • Volume Of Feed: Several Sprays until soil is moist
  • Frequency Of Feed: 2-3 times a day

.:| Plant Heights From Top Of Pot |:.

  • Sweet Special Auto #1: 4cm
  • Sweet Special Auto #2: 3cm
  • Mohan Ram Auto #1: 2cm
  • + Speed Auto: 3cm

Now here’s some pics from earlier today…

Hey Serpent off to a flying start!

I shall be cracking some auto's for the first time very soon and have the same as you apart from the speed + as I opted for Green poison.

Will keep popping in.

All the best.
