Amnesia's Sweet Seeds competition Grow Diary.

net2-3 Good to see you mate, the anticipation is killing me now to sample these fine fruits as the aromas are mouthwatering, The time is near so i hope you can stop by soon :yahoo: .

Chilli That Wild Rose was a beast of a girl, the fattest main cola that has ever graced my growroom as it must of been 5 inches diameter!, it was so dense i had to chop some of the buds off it to dry seperately as i was worried about bud rot setting in on such a big cola, and a dream to trim too as the buds were not very leafy at all.

Regarding the sweet cheese my other one (SC1) was much shorter than these two and she was also the oldest in veg as she was the first to sprout, she was proper done at 65 days. Also most of the other sweet cheese i'm seeing including yours in diaries are much shorter than mine and stretched no where near as much so i think you will be okay on the finishing times, I always seem to get one or two freaky plants in my growroom for some unknown reason! lol

See you soon mate.

Saturday 2 April, Day 78 of flowering ( SC2 & SC3).

Cheers for stopping by and your inspiring comments Thestiff1 and mickeymouser, i've not even thought about how they will fair in the competition as i like to do my diaries anyway as some of you already know. Whatever happens we are all winners anyway with these lovely harvests we are all getting and free courtesy of sweet seeds. And to think that they are also giving prizes to the top 18 diaries they like is a massive bonus and that top prize sounds like heaven, 2011 is going to be very special for someone on here with a once in a lifetime opportunity and all just for doing their favourite hobby! :notworthy:

Wild Rose and Sweet Cheese 1 into the jars! :toot:

On with the grow, after nearly 14 days drying SC1 and the WR are dry and have now been jarred up and the first smoke reports are in  . After the final manicure they went into brown paper bags for 24 hours before being put into the Kilners. SC2 & SC3 are on their last day of flowering today at day 78 ( 11 weeks 1 day) and will be chopped down later on as they are ready now. I will put up some final pics of them later on before harvesting but for now lets talk about the mighty WR and SC1.

Final dry weight and smoke report.

Wild Rose = 130g (4oz 18g).

Gorgeous looking and extremely tasty buds this one, dense and covered in trichs. Last pics of her, fat cola.>

and finally the wild rose into the jars.>

WILD ROSE SMOKE REPORT.

Aroma/taste = I cannot put into words the amount of sweetness contained in these buds, a real full flavour which is mouthwatering like honey, there is also a fresh almost lemony aftertaste to it which stays on your tastebuds afterwards. It reminds me of a kind of cake but for the life of me cannot think what it is could be christmas pudding though?, I thought my bubblegummers were sweet but the wild rose has now certainly taken top place. If you like your sweet things in life then this smoke is the one for you. Now i know all along when they were all in flower it was the WR that was stinking sweet because if you look back in the diary i said then the overall smell from them was a sweet cheesey aroma, Very pungent sweet high grade smell and even opening the jar instantly fills the room with this lovely freshly baked cake aroma  , this is my favourite smoke yet and the taste is devine just like the smell, and no cure yet either and as we know things get even better after that!. A non-smoking family member of mine actually commented on the "nice" smell when i was smoking which is something she does not normally say or even interested in.

Effect = A proper nice soothing relaxing smoke with a feel good factor, not a yawn in sight. Easy to chat even about issues you normally find boring and everything just feels nice as if you have a warm inner glow about you, i even found myself listening to music i do not normally appreciate and nothing seems a problem, a very happy weed that makes you feel good and content. A top draw smoke getting a massive thumbs up from me and i've found all my other jars have been put aside as i love this so much and it is definitely on my short-list to grow again, When its time to get up and go you find lots of energy feeling fit and easily get on with mundane tasks with happy thoughts in mind :D .

Sweet Cheese 1 = 72g ( 2oz 16g).

She was the smallest of the sweet cheeses, real long buds on this one not as thick as the others but extremely sticky covered in resin stinking to high heaven!, the last pics of her.>

Those long buds.

yummy.>

finally jarred up.>

SWEET CHEESE 1 SMOKE REPORT.

Aroma/taste = Strong mature cheese also with a bit of fruity/sweetness to it and i think maybe mintish too, stinking smelling socks but in a very nice way! lol.

Lovely taste as good if not better than any cheese i've had over in amsterdam, in fact this smell just reminds me of that overall aroma when you walk into an amsterdam coffeeshop, delicious. Your fingers stink after rolling with buds literally sticking to your fingers and the taste lingers in your mouth for ages afterwards. Again absolutely stinks the place out, a smooth smoke though not harsh in any way which goes down very well.

Effects = As soon as you smoke this you feel a cold sweat come to your forehead and you are instantly lifted to higher places, its a rush but a slow ride with no nasty edges to it and after a few mins you find yourself on an even level as happy as larry grinning from ear to ear, thinking of funny things that have recently happened. Again feeling energetic getting on with things but happy to chill out too if you want to do so. I smoked a few of these and never felt stoned as such and ready for action, Quality taste and smoke

So i cannot fault either of these strains and adore them both, i slept soundly and awoke nice and refreshed ready to go, of course i have been smoking both together throughout the evening although seperate times, but once they have had a bit of cure i will have time to try them individually and tastes effects could change so will update then. A massive thumbs up from me for Wild Rose and Sweet Cheese so far! :smoke:

Today is harvest day for the remaining two sweet cheese left in the growroom in flower (SC2 and SC3) now 78 days into flowering, proper done now so i will update later with the last pics of those individually and of course crop pics too. Thanks to all for taking the time out to read the diary so far and most of all to Sweet Seeds and the 420 crew for making this harvest happen :notworthy: , i don't think i would of got around to growing these as there are so many strains out there i want to try, i've nearly been growing 2 years now and i'm only on my 6th grow.

Hope to see you later on for the update on SC2 and SC3  .

Sunday 3 April, day 79 of flowering (HARVEST).

HARVEST DAY SC2 and SC3! :band:

Its good to hear that everyone is enjoying the diary and what a brilliant ending this has come to be, a pure pleasurable grow throughout. All the best to each and everyone. :yinyang: .

Well today SC2 and SC3 have finally been chopped down as they were nicely done, SC3 looks very similar to the way SC1 did even though this one has gone on a lot longer. SC2 on the other hand looks like a different pheno as the colas look a lot more dense and even more sticky than the other cheeses, and it definitely has a much sweeter smell than the other two. Both of these last two were big girls being well over 6ft tall from soil to tip and took quite a long time to trim as there were lots and also big buds!.

SC1 and the Wild Rose are curing away now and will do another smoke update on them once they have been in the jars a bit. I love the taste, smell and high of these already and things can only get better after curing :D .

Once SC2 and SC3 are dry and ready for jarring i will update with a yield report on those and most importantly a smoke report.

On with the last pics of them, first SC2 a sideview with the 1 litre bottle of Oldtimer bloom there at the side for size purposes.>

med_gallery_46705_2371_317723.jpg

Her main cola.>

med_gallery_46705_2371_217551.jpg

After the chop, some buds.>

med_gallery_46705_2371_239035.jpg

On the hangers, SC2 is on both of the red hangers.>

med_gallery_46705_2371_360406.jpg

A close up of one of the pegs.>

Thats the last of the pics of SC2, back after this quick  with the last pictures of SC3.

med_gallery_46705_2371_2313.jpg

On the hangers, SC3 is on the 3 lots of grey pegs. Sorry about the rubbish pic.>

med_gallery_46705_2371_142904.jpg

A close up of one of the hangers, out of focus i know but you get the idea.>

med_gallery_46705_2371_376485.jpg

So in all a very successful grow and very nice smokes too from both strains, also looking like a very good yield overall as a big bonus.

There is also a few smaller buds in shoeboxes from each plant not shown in the pictures, will update as soon as these are ready for the Kilners.

All the best everyone and thanks for watching :bong: .

Thanks all, i'm really enjoying both strains already and no cure as yet!, the other flavours i have in the jars have taken a back seat for a while as they are so yummy.

In reply to your question onlyme, i used the 6.5 litre pots in the end as only having 4 plants i thought they would have enough space, how wrong was i? lol Things turned out fine in the end though and they have certainly rewarded me with quality buds and a real good yield by the look of things  .
