Mephisto Strawberry Nuggets & Jammy Dodgers

It is me or Mephisto has mainly indica based strains than sativas?

I am drying now, but switch to photos....autos are great in cold winters, outdoor....breeding for photos....but I won't continue grow them...

...and particularly considering the unique and killer genetics that are in the subbies over here.

You're not wrong, finished off what I had left of the Creme De La Chem, that was potent, Still have some Samsquanch which isn't bad.

I have to admit I do like Mephisto Genetics, it's a pretty good smoke but I'd like to grow more so I can try other genetics, like Zskittelz if that's the one I'm thinking of, so many strains to try!

Hubbabubbasmelloscope was absolutely phenomenal, They are quality breeders

Yeah they do seem to lean more towards that side, but I would like to try some genetics offered here but my tent isn't that great for photoperiods, lots of small areas for light leaks. I fully intend on upgrading to a AC Infinity tent in my own house, one that can comfortably hold at least 3 plants.

I was very close to ordering the Hubbabubbasmelloscope as it sounded quite tasty but knowing how hard the Creme hit I thought I'd try something even stronger just for fun lol I suppose logically I was thinking I won't need as much to get baked thus giving me plenty to choose from

Im gonna get some hubba bubba next aswell and I think a 5 pack of Mephisto wedding cause I was impressed with the last one. Sativa I think my favorites have been Mango Smile and Pink Panama but indicas always seem to be performong better for me.

They have quite hard fatty buds isn't?

I will push still Livers bx1...original Sheffield blue cut...become auto livers....of the last Brit home strains.

I went for all the cookies I could ( although now after months I am not convinced they are what I am looking for)...such as Girls scout, bear ass, Samsquanch (which is actually more OG)

Definitely we should keep these threds open..as meph is a good British breeding example ( particularly for the large selection topic)

Yeah rock solid like and what in my mind is coffee mixed with jam smell just the way it grew as well it seems like a really good option for optimal yeild and growing quite tightly branched together and low,  every time I go to pull the trigger on new seeds though I change my mind and I still have a fair few lying around anyway some of my favorite Mephisto plants have been freebies Mango smile x CDLC was an insane plant

Mango Smile x Chem de la Chem massive plant with huge fat colas and a gassy fruity smell theres 2 more germinating as we speak cause id forgot I had 5 of them and then the Oranze Haze x SODK was a beast aswell last run and thats why ive got 2 more in flower it was a small plant but gave huge swelled buds that stank everywhere out and stank so bad I amost got kicked out a casino, the guy just told me to spray with deoderant and at first I thought he was saying I smell bad and he was like listen mate I can smell  the weed from a mile away and I was just like ok thanks for telling me and walked in haha but I took it as a compliment actually. Thats what makes me want to try the old school cheese they have as well i bet that stuff stinks.

Love a grow related 3d print, did you model the nozzle yourself? or download the file?

I printed a custom size little funnel the other day, fits my nutrient bottles perfectly. its the little things!

I'm afraid I can't take credit for designing it, I think it was off printables. I've done quite a lot of things with 3D printing but it's not my main hobby but it's great when they're reliable as I'm a big fan of Bambu Printers.

Got rid of my Ender 3 for a bambulab P1P. game changer, works every time. It just works!

  • 2 weeks later...

Little bit of an update for you. Last week when I opened the tent I was greeted by some Fungus Gnats, I always get them every damn year so I'm considering swapping soil supplier but I bought some Hyoaspis Miles and have scattered them on both pots, no more Gnats as of yet and I see them crawling all over the place.

large.IMG_0584.jpeg.406b332f9e65a9135775384c20dd06b1.jpeg

Day 24 of both plants and it would appear that the Strawberry Nuggets is having the same issues as @oldleafybeard1, early leaves show signs of what I believe to be Magnesium deficiency so I've increased from 0.33ml per L to 0.5ml. The 0.33 is what I need to get the water levels right anyway and the added extra seems to have solved the issue but time will tell.

The Jammy dodger is doing ok, I did give them about 0.25ml of foundation roots and grow last week, tiny little bit of nute burn on the Strawberry Nuggets but the Jammy dodgers seem happy. I'll start feeding them tomorrow as we're just over 3 weeks and I know that when they start to flower Mephisto plants are very hungry girls and I'm sure Intense Nutrients have watered down their strength, think I'll move back to BioBizz next time.

I have started some LST, trying to get it a bit more evenly distributed before throwing in the scrog and start tucking them into their pockets, hopefully gives me a good yield but I'm sure I'll make a mistake somewhere along the way lol

Oh and I have my free Gen 2 of the AC Infinity arriving Monday so happy days!

looking good man one word from me which take however you want but I do regret going so heavy on the staking/lst on the SN cause both plants did stay really small and I felt it would have worked out better with one big cola and side branches rather than staking out cause end up with like 6 branches but mid/small sized flowers, I usually do stake out to avoid overly large flowers and a spread canopy, but I feel like the SN is the smallest one I ever grew and its biggest main cola prob would be overall better yield. It is debateable though I just noticed your stake. I hope you get the purple pheno as well its much more impressive in my grow compared to the green pheno.

Yeah I'm wondering about doing more LST but seedfinder lists the following on it

"She loves loves to bush and often will end up as wide or wider than she is tall. Strawberry nuggets does take some maintenance whilst growing to see the best results and yield. As a minimal we would recommend several spells of leaf tucking to encourage the inner shoots to get out of the traps and race away. Due to her thickness she isnt the easiest to train but it's definitely possible."

I might do a little more LST just as an experiment I suppose, see what results I can get but apparently there's 3 pheno types, green, pink and purple with the pink being the more potent exotic variety, but I guess only time will tell.

Yeah where did you hear that about the pink one though cause I dont see why they would isolate the purple strain for purple nuggets if there was a more potent pheno. Ive read the other stuff you posted its on the description on the main Mephisto page saying around 1/10 plants have the pink or purple genetics I dont see it saying its more potant though. Honestly im not that impressed with them in terms of size/yield I doubt il bother again cause its wasting space for me. The purple one is very good looking though have to say.
