Idicanna jones
My personal choice for a stealth lst small pot would be cookies and cream auto from seedstockers

For what it's worth I get back pain and my knees are fucked so my GG exploits will be quite limited. I'm hoping to just do a few (3 or 4) plants in pots in the garden. Didn't realize u was going in the garden LST then is a must. And would also listen to @Idicanna jones as well small pots can keep plants small and managable and easier to hide if need be. Get urself a load of the green coated wire from pound shops and a tub of bulldog clips and bend the shit out of em.
Bram Toker
@murphyblue I will do mate. I should also mention I plan to be using autos. If I get anything resembling the cookies and cream auto posted by @Idicanna jones I will be very, very happy. I hear what you say about small pots but as a rule of thumb is it true that bigger pots tend to give bigger yields? What pot size would you suggest for a garden auto? Idicanna jones
@Bram TokerI'm but a mere padawan.... So take my advice with enough salt to feed a mountain yak.... I've tried from 1l to 4l with auto's. For me the right balance seems to be about 3 . No doubt I'll get shouted down but if I need to move shit about, I'd rather have stuff that I can shift out the way without dragging trees about. I like to grow a variety so here's a brief sojourn into the small pot world. All either seedstockers, Dutch passion or @brock1subbies ... 6
Idicanna jones
That said I go early with the autos and throw some photos out for a late shot
Slippy One
Jeezus don’t lst, top or bend your outdoor plants. If you need more yield, put more out. The natural Xmas tree shape is less likely to snap when September storms kick off.
Bram Toker
@Idicanna jones Thanks for taking the time to put that medley together. I will be taking a very close look at your diaries mate. Are all those images of plants that were auto varieties? and am I right in thinking the plants in several of those pics did not get any LST or do they just appear that way (ie the xmas tree shape)?

The natural Xmas tree shape is less likely to snap when September storms kick off. My understanding is the September storms won't necessarily be a consideration if growing autos germinated early-mid May. Obviously photoperiod plants will have different considerations (or autos planted later in the season). I have the benefit of a reasonably secluded garden but the hours of direct sunlight are limited. I'm aiming to give myself a chance of 4-6 oz with a modest garden grow (3-4 plants). I'm reasonably sure this is quite feasible. I'm trying to gain the knowledge to give myself a reasonable shot at achieving this target without stretching too far beyond those parameters. If I had the energy of my youth I have little doubt that many remote areas would be blanketed with cannabis varieties but unfortunately those days are long gone.

In answer to the original question and your reply, I tried an outdoor ScrOG last year, it worked pretty well. I would say if you want to try that, it needs to be somewhere you can safely visit regularly. Won't work for a GG. I think @MindSoup's tip about bending over the main top to the north is the easiest for a site where you don't want to visit too often...

Slippy One
If they’re autos, at home then by all means lst and top. You could even build a trellis. Why autos though? Surely regular genes would yield more. Some autos are tiny and won’t stretch much.. these plants are in coco coir that have food added, so just need water which is provided via Blumat carrots Edited February 3 by Slippy One
Idicanna jones
@Bram Tokeryes mate all autos I think. Just to demonstrate the difference when using lst and being a lazy arse. @OldFordis yer man
OldFord
@Bram Toker All the best with the garden runs mucker , the man @Idicanna jones is the small pot master and seems to work magic with the little pots I did some 1ltr pot action in my '22 diary with Super 61 , Fast Lemon and Mac N Crack - all turned out nice. Do be careful on what you run as even though its a small pot it can be a big stink Short squat fems like RP Purple Wreck , SS ABC worked very well in small pots 7.5ltrs for me. Autos a good shout too , Sweets tend to be more compact units if your keeping small pots. Slims MWF is perfect , Brocks SHD , OHG would be ideal too. Good luck with it sir.
Slippy One
Small pots planted mid-late July is the secret with photos. Biggest issue is watering, where Blumats make life easier.

I guess as the op is growing in his garden watering shouldn't be too much of an issue presuming he is around everyday Your getting bloody lazy these days slippy 2
