Eleven Roses

Evening all,

Finally figured out my last few grows have been overfed due to dodgy truncheon readings...hence the red petioles...

The current grow will have two weeks plain water flush now to try and get rid of as much as possible which will take them

up to 8 weeks 12/12...they're very frosty, budding nicely and autumnal colours appearing on the fans so hopefully all is not lost.

These Glookie Bombs are a month old and currently on about 1ml per ltr A+B which is way less

than the recommended strength on the bottles which is what I was following.

Reading 1.1 on the new truncheon from a tapwater base of 0 .5...They're very happy!

'til next time

Fingers crossed for you mate, hopefully the flush will level them out, at this point I suppose getting a clean result would trump any yield or potency if it were me. But 2 weeks in plain water imo would defo have forced the plants to use up any currently stored excess elements etc. Might even start to yellow after a week of plain water and u can start on a tiny bit of feed to get them finished in good health if you think they can take it.

Rings true does that @stu914. I got an inkbird EC pen coz it were only 20 quid and inkbird stuff is generally okay. I’m testing my run off coz summat dunt look right and it’s coming out at 0.9. Im putting 1.4 through them. Not sure how they’re eating all that it’s not like I’m pushing them hard. I’ll be going out buying sirloin steak for em next lol I’m not sure if it’s the EC meter. It’s been a while since owt to do wi growing has got on my tits, I accept my lot usually but this is unknown territory

Run strong nutes through until it's where you want it. Leave it a bit before repeating to let the ions recombine. Might take 3 or 4 goes, then use your normal ec. Strong to me  would be 1.8ec.

  • 2 weeks later...

Evening all,

These have been flushing with plain tapwater for a couple of weeks, currently 57 days 12/12,

gonna give them another week. Considering they were overfed pretty badly there's plenty of snow

and they're still putting on bud. The Black Rose parent certainly comes through on the fans...

Evening all,

Well after a pretty stressful grow it's been a dismal finale....discovered mould on a couple today, nicely hidden away

just where the main stem meets the pebbles under some perfectly healthy leaves.

Soon as I saw that they were cut, trimmed and hung @ 59 days 12/12 including 18 days flush.

Looking like yield is well down, which is to be expected considering the nutes abuse they've suffered, did I mention mould?

On the plus side there's no popcorn, buds are large, covered in crystal and pretty solid, won't know the quality or taste

until they've had about 10 days drying.

I'll put up some root porn and bud pics tomorrow.

'til next time

bad luck with the mould me ole mucker, but this time of year the ambient RH is usually a lot higher than summer.

still, you caught it in time by the looks of it so not too bad.

It looks like youre gonna have some nice xmas smokes...

onward and upward....

ambient RH

Mine sat between 28 and 38 through the whole grow and the plants were well spaced with plenty of air movement,

last thing I expected as there were no obvious signs....as you say...onwards and upwards...cheers bud...:yep:

Mine is always low this time of year, I assume because the cental heating is on. I'm averaging 46% in flower and I've just added a humidifier to the veg tent, it's up to 42% now.

@stu914  Hi ya mate, once again I feel for you. I spent 6 hours trimming my Autos yesterday. They were over 9 weeks and ready enough, but I'd like to have left them for another week. Same thing as yourself, went in and found two huge lumps of mold.

Oddly enough my temps and humidity have been really good up in the loft. Gutted. Just our climate I suppose, even the fresh low humity air actively pushed in caused mold.

Fingers crossed you get enough from them either way though mate.

38% rh max?! Please share the secret to such low humidity, mine’s over 60 some nights no matter what I do.

I tend to find it easier to keep my humidity down in winter. The outside air might have a high relative humidity, but it can't hold a lot of water, so once you bring it indoors and warm it up it's got a low relative humidity. I've pretty much had my fan on the lowest setting for weeks just to keep my rh up, even with a full canopy. My heating is actually set lower and on less than previous years...

Gutted for you mate, at least you caught it before it ruined the whole crop.
