Gonna add one to this thread. Was guided along the way largely by @Slippy One

For light-proofing, i've found that using the felt side of self adhesive velcro in the gaps worked best.

Good tip on the velcro, very nice setup although you can use a pot half that size if you daily feed in coco coir! :yep:

Also, slightly disappointed to see a wall wart timer instead of a Meross smart strip but these are just details.. :yep:

Bravo cupboarders! :notworthy:

@Slippy One hahaha I ordered the meross strip and then realised chopping off the plug to thread with through the side of the cabinet was a no go lol the plug had no screws in it to dissemble it.

Made for a handy autonomous addition to the living room though lol

Need a massive pot that size for living soil though ;) which I HIGHLY recommend! Best weed i've ever grown

So I pimped my old shabby looking mid century stealth cupboard using stretchy van felt and new AC Infinity gear. I’ll be firing her up in the next 2 weeks with either a Skywalker Haze (Dutch Passion) cut or Sweet Amnesia (G13). If anyone has any experience with these sativa hybrids let me know.

Anyway, here’s the pics, I built her upside down, which made it easy to assemble all the electrics including the Inkbird. The van felt is advertised to have good acoustic and thermal insulation and made the cupboard look boss. :yep:

AC Infinity Ionboard24, controller 69, cloudray s6. I know the light is overkill but I’ll be running it on low. Amazing coverage and perfect fit though.. :guitar:

nothing to see here, officer, just my cupboard full of socks and shoes. :yep:

large.IMG_2474.jpeg

And the back: 1 neat, 5m power cord for the lot. (added another passive secret jardin light baffle/intake, thought about active intake but the extra noise and space, decided passive was the best option)

I can get over 250g dry every cycle, last blue dream grow was 267g in this box. Currently sitting in my bedroom looking totally stealth. 100% lightproof too, that ban felt really seals the doors.

thanks for looking in, please feel free to upload your own cupboard groweries. :D

Small update on the finished cupb. Got a Dutch Skywalker Haze in there, in coco using Beanstalk nutrients and plain water Blumat Tropf gravity watering system. 3 days so far and haven’t had to anything. It worked outside this summer so it might work indoors. Got the Danish drain tray hooked up in case I need to switch to manual feeds but I’m hopeful. And if it works I won’t need to open the cupboard at all until harvest (in theory it’s possible! lol ):guitar:

65L reservoir above the plants. That van felt very good at noise and heat insulation too, highly recommend this for all cupboard growers!

Screen in place now, added another cloudray (overkill I know), added external vent in the sash, and now the heat mat is on 24hrs, as I think this is more efficient than the Inkbird/bar heater combo.

Beanstalk isn’t cheap, but the cost to feed each grow is under 90p. Tap water is the only other cost.

Dialing in the settings using the app

Cloudrays doing their thing. The oscillation is quite noisy so I’ll probably only use this feature near the end, without oscillation, they’re silent on speed 2. Fkn love my AC Infimity ligh, great spread and perfect size.

external vent all sealed up, just waiting on delivery of some closed cell foam for the sash gap. :guitar:

Spot the garden. :D

40,000 whatsits,  so 680 PAR (40,000x.017) thanks @MIGROfor this information. I believe this is quite low for flowering, but the light is only on half power..

Round 2 in the flower box. This one (sweet amnesia -G13) is filling up the screen nicely at week 3. Fingers crossed to beat the record of 264g.  🤞🏼

All automatic watering and feeds. Spot the sativa cutting still not showing gender.. and this time I’ve filled the 12L fabric pot to the top and added 2x blumat carrots, making it 4 in total. 💪🏼

Proper sharp little set up there mate. How much space do you have between the screen and the light?

Not much, it’s about 18”.

Light will be dimmed once stretch ends, nights will be extended to 13hrs near the end too. Early days I know, as anything can happen in the next 8 weeks, but I could never go back to mixing liquid feeds ever again, this method is too good. 😊 🤘🏼

About the same as mine then, maybe a little less, it's awkward innit lol

Awkward but doable. I find this method of tight growing more rewarding, zero popcorn or airy buds, no light wasted, plant feels supercharge, I reckon all indoor grows should be SROGS for maximum efficiency. ✊🏼

here’s one under a smaller light that gave a quarter kilo dry from 1 plant..

Very nice mate, I get really annoyed with scrogs but they're definitely a great may to maximise yield, especially in a small space.

Any cabinet makers out there How would you go about installing a secret lock in a wooden cabinet? Would a long tapered dowel pushed into the doors from below work?Does such a thing exist? :D

@Slippy One I know this was 2 years ago, but if you never got an answer on a lock and want an easy solution have a search for ‘rack bolt lock’ small, easy to fit and only need something like 7mm hole in the face for the ‘key’ so pretty discreet. If your doors aren’t thick enough you can just mount it on the back on the door in an additional little block of wood.
