locks on!!)

Can you imagine how gutted you'd be if someone just opened the door by chance looking for grub....

...I suppose you could try the old 'it's a type of broccolli' excuse...better off with the locks...:rofl:

Nothing like the slippys shown above.

@Slippy One probably a stupid question, but are they completely light proof from the outside during lights on?  Any tell tale light leaks or are they completely sealed??

I've tried to make a couple of "inconspicuous cupboards" and it's the light proofing that always screw me aye

Cheers man!

There's zero light from the back, only a tickle from the drain plugs and front doors all have overlapping mylar flaps so 98.8%. Lights off in the room I can see a few gaps, lights on, nothing. I'll take a pic tomorrow if you wanna see some gap porn! :yep:

I could fix the gaps with some fettling but there's no need, the chances of the fuzz being in the same room with the lights off are pretty slim.

Not to say that it couldn't happen though.. lol

@sn00pyhad one of the metal ones iirc

Unsure if his epic grow at present is In one or not but i think he had the 2 x 600w version

Hey mate! I had the 1200w 'Wing' cabinet from G-Tools, with 2x600w HPS in it.  It served me well for about 4 years or so, roughly 2mtr sq of floor space and average yields of... 28z or so? Max was 32.

Really decent units, give them a websearch.  They are now doing LED units.

who's up for a walk-in wardrobe grow? lol

i'm being semi serious, when my current tent pops it's clogs i want to make an insulated groom, and this has given me the idea to make a big "fitted wardrobe units" looking one, the extraction is in the perfect place already, just takes a bit of imagination and convincing doors!

You can always have a gander at my old Fritzel room in a windowless kitchen. Plumbing in the fresh air will be your biggest hurdle once you get passed the mrs' approval that is!! lol

(I see you're a responsible member of society and have put locks on!!)

That's a good point, I need to do the same. My drawers are all screwed shut but the doors need some sort of secret dowels pushed into the door from underneath.

Any cabinet makers out there How would you go about installing a secret lock in a wooden cabinet? Would a long tapered dowel pushed into the doors from below work?Does such a thing exist? :D

Great build @Slippy One this is proper stealth and looks quality too.  And I love the even more stealthy hidden space in your link, wow!

I'm a cupboarder also, mine is situated in my garage, the inside is celotexed and everything is internal so if you pop your head in the garage you would never know! It's an old office stationery cupboard and I've kept the locking system, and petitioned inside the idea being the top will be a veg/mum space and the bottom the flower room. Top not finished yet. I intake from top and have a fan and filter on the floor, helps with temps as I mainly grow autumn to spring.

Sealing the gaps in doors and around hinges is the main problem for me, I use a window seal strip, "d" profile that works quite well. Still difficult to seal round the hinges though!

Here's a couple of pics..large.20201212_125900_copy_2322x3096.jpg

Those drip trays you have will be useful, thanks, and will have to get on of those WiFi sensors, stop me opening the doors all the time! I really need a fan controller I can set nighttime fan speed and daytime speed, the one I have is either full chat (cool down mode) or a setting on the Variac.

Top work once again, an inspiration for sure

Here's mine an old steel tool cabinet i got for nothing as it was destined for the scrappy.

Wooden skeleton all way round and some inch thick underfloor heating insulation board someone was throwing away on a bin night so that cost bog all.

Whiteboard again from work cost nothing.

Pics.

Actually, the bookshelf was hiding the hatch. Bookshelf on hinges would be next level. :yep:
