Just a couple of Seedstockers' Auto AK420.

They're my "early spring" testers, see how well they fare, or not.

Are just poking their second set of true leaves out now.

Weather is sunny one minute raining the next.

I have more auto AK420, auto Blackberry Gum, and auto Sticky Fingers (Cookies x Gorilla) waiting once things warm up.

Did a bit of digging at the guerilla site today.

The soil here is lovely, I must say.

Though my sites are not the most secure.

Will run them anyway, maybe one or two will be lucky enough to last.

Sounds like you got a nice selection there mate! The blackberry gum has got my mouth watering...

You're right about the weather. It needs to make it's mind up, changing every 5 minutes over here! Here's hoping for some nice warm weather soon!

Our fingers are crossed for you! Hope all goes well :D

Thanks mate! Just widening all plots at the moment - trying to help them live up to potential! Looking nice and airy now, though... check the update below! :D

Thanks again, and likewise! Have a good one mate, we'll be keeping an eye on yours, too

Quick little plot prep update for you all!

We've been finalising the prep work on all of the plots, widening all existing boundaries, whilst also turning over the new soil at the new plots for first time this year. As with pretty much everyone up and down the country, we've been facing a constant mix of rain and sun, which is nice to have both, albeit hard work when the soil is weighing multiple times it's weight (don't even ask about our heavy shoes - felt like we had concrete boots on because of the mud...). Then the soil dries up and is ten times harder to dig! Talk about a catch 22...

Another picture-heavy update. Less talk, more flicks. TYHB style

Heading into one of the plots -

After a quick turn-over (plot from last update [new one for this year]) -

Some soil porn for you sick muddy fuckers... us included.:naughty: -

An OG yellow handle going strong -

Arriving at a plot we used last year (our 'litter'/clothes from the day, not from last year!) -

No further pics from this trip as phone died. On to the next! :smoke:

Fuck it, two in one evening, why not?

Another day, another plot to prep. This time, a diversion to some bluebells for the first smoke of the day. Such a nice spot, no one around, nice and peaceful just after the rain -

If we keep walking for a few miles, over a few fields, woods and streams, you'll stumble across a plot we used last year. Chop chop chop. In we go  -

large.6.jpg

Boom. We're in. A bit overgrown, nothing we can't (yellow) handle. *pathetic humour.

large.9.jpg

Now, I was pretty certain I took some before and after pics of this plot being widened, however now i'm home, I either -
1. Didn't
or
2. Took a shite photo.

Either way - not great.

I decided to leave the cut-down bramble exactly where it fell (spreading just a bit over the plot, too) to kill off the nettles underneath. We'll be back in a couple days to rake the shit out of the place and turn it over....

large.5.jpglarge.7.jpg

All going well... time to check the forecast. Heavy rain starting in 7 mins. Enough time to skin up? Go on then... keep it calm... clock's ticking, rain spitting...

Skinned up. Banging.
Into the tunnel I retire, like a wild animal, hiding from the (apparently) inbound heavy rain...

Yes, I also see the blue skies... lol

large.8.jpg

As you guessed - no rain. lol
Suitably stoned, time to call it an afternoon before I really get caught in it, I thought.

10 mins later, the heavens opened... at least I wasn't in a tunnel, ay?!

Thanks for dropping by, take it easy, catch you all soon:badass:

Hahah sadly it is - though you can pick up a knock-off version from a local homeware store - won't have the same digging power, unfortunately lol

Hope you have a good day mate! Stay safe out there:smokin:

Cheers, HFM! Saw this/these comments before I headed to the plots yesterday, but didn't have time to reply! Can safely say your comment was in my mind whilst at the plot, and I was hoping to get lots of new flicks for you all, however i'm 99% certain I left my phone torch on, and it died about 10 mins after arriving on site :wallbash:lol

However, it was a grafty day, so i'll get down there and get some photos for you tomorrow as there's a lot to show! Weather looks to be in a sad state today :schmoll:

Glad you're enjoying the documentation as much as I enjoy documenting it! We're only just getting started. :pitchfork:

Above all, you're veryyyyyy fuckin welcome! Our pleasure...:smokin:

Have a goodun bro!

The effort into those tunnels is superb, keeping up with this one

Hahah cheers @Chuckie! Always cracks me up when we're tunnelling through the undergrowth... such a bizarre situation to find yourself in lol

All fun and games, though, ay? :pitchfork:

Hope you enjoy the journey that we're about to take everyone on! This year's diary will put last year's to shame.

Hope you have a chilled afternoon mate! Catch you around :D:skin_up:
