Green Qube

Recommended Posts

Just purchased a 1.2x2.4 green qube tent. (The one with orange poles)

Previously I have owned the 1.2x1.2 and a 1.5x1.5 green qubes (green poles) and had no issues. So opted for the same make. Big mistake!

The zip has failed within two openings, contacted manufacturer and sent photos. Been told the defect is down to user error and been offered no resolve whatsoever...

Has anyone else had issues with their newer tents or experienced poor customer service from this company?

In my opinion the latest models have taken a big dive in quality, they seem thinner and manufactured totally different to previous models.

They state in their promotional videos that you know you're buying a legit green qube as the poles are green. I assume you didn't buy it direct?

Think they do orange ones now as I was looking on their site recently for old instructions.

@custard ears if it's under 6mths old it should be down to the retailer (not manufacturer) to prove it wasn't faulty to start with.

Google - Consumer Rights Act 2015 should find all the info you need.

The site says uber strong green-powder coated and then shows orange in the picture lol

I'm glad this come up as I was gonna get one next payday.

That's really shoddy customer service, no thankyou!!!

@custard ears

Wow, matey. :(

That's just really bad of them. I'm sorry to hear of your grief with them.

I'm too tight fisted to buy quality and this seals the deal.

I'm intrigued by your user name!

Do you occasionally put a bit of custard, jelly and cream in your ears and shout at people, "You'll have to speak up - I'm a trifle deaf?

;)

I hope your tent issues gets better :yep:

I have had a follow up reply from green qube and to be fair they’re now looking into it a little deeper!
I will update any future progress.

The initial response was shoddy to say the least!

I was gonna go with treacle foot!

No reason behind the name choice other than oddness

Thank you, have had further discussions with green qube and will go with this if they don’t resolve.

I'm glad you've got their at-tent-ion

At the moment, you're poles apart but I think it'll be an open-and-shut case.

I'll keep it zipped for now!

I wonder if they've seen this thread :ninja:

I've got a 1.2x2.4 greenqube (green poles) and tbh it's not the best quality. The zips have let light through from new and they feel like they could fail at any time.

They seem to get quite a good rep on here but I won't be buying another.

My two previous green qubes (green poles) did me ok 1.2x1.2 and 1.5x1.5 the zips did leak light under negative pressure but they were used in a dark room so no massive problem. The zip failed on one after four years which I think is an adequate life span. The 1.5x1.5 I gave to a friend and is still looking good after three years.

Having large amounts of negative pressure 24/7 absolutely tests the best of tents. Lots of strain on zips and stitching, although at £300 maybe a heavier construction would solve this!
I think my next project is a build, time to ditch the tents..

They're being a bit negative, pressure them into sending a replacement.

He should get on the blower - they might see the light at the end of the day.

Do you think they'll cave in?

Phoning might not get any results but at least it lets him vent.
