Yeah, I know mate, but I just wanted to clear that up.

These are kinda mid way through a cure, so in the interests of the diary I stuck ma hooter into the jars, and this is what im getting.

Im rubbish at analysis, but heres what im getting....Smell wise

Cream caramel- this smells sweet, like sweet, hashy with a hint of spiceyness.

The  sweet afghan delicious. This also smells sweet, but like fruity, citrousy, with mango maybe, or actual fruity sweets.

The blackjack smells like piney, sharp whiff to her, maybe a bit of citrous in there too.

Im looking forward to trying these in a week or two, ive managed to resist so far, but I don't know how long I will last

  • 4 weeks later...

hello again, well the time has come for some serious serious reviewing (at least that's what I tell myself when im going through so much of it).

this weekend just passed ive been mostly smoking zee blackjack..

Now I stopped smoking tobacco years ago so I normally just go with single skiners of pure weed. This weekend, because I was being an, er …..objective judge, yes that's it, I decided to go with the3 skinners .

I use raw papers, the ones with roach material inside, what a great idea that is.....

So this is just the Blackjack review, I need to do much more testing of the others, but I will and ill get back to you on them.

So they have been cured for a good few weeks now, jars burped daily for the first 10 days, then weekly after that.

Into the testing. its fairly dense buds, with a very nice decent coating of trichs, and it grinds up lovely, and fluffy, and is neither too dry or wet, which is good.

Im not very good with flavours, I should warn you so this is just what im getting.

First smell. its pretty sweet, still got the hint of pine with some lemon, along with some burnt rubber background that a lot of indicas have.

on smoking it, first off im getting citrousy flavours, with pretty strong pine terps on the inhale, a bit of kinda herer spiceyness on the exhale.

buzz wise its pretty uplifting in the head for a kick off, but kinda calming relaxation on the body at the same time, which is kinda strange, but nice. You feel it behind the eyes when you over inidulge in your testing er….duties ….ahem..

The uplifting, creative  side of it , must be from the Herer, and iits good, even though I don't like racey hazes, I do like Jack herer.

It gradually goes into a muscle relaxing slow down of the muscles, around the neck, shoulders drooping  and down the back. you can virtually feel the muscles loosening and relaxing along with you.

I think its got more sativa in it than I would have expected, but its not racey or inducing paranoia or anything like that, just through the creativeness it instills. it makes you feel good and I reckon it would be great for stress or muscle aches and pains, you can feel yourself melting away when the body buzz takes over.

its also stronger than I thought it would be, but not overpowering, you just know that your "dunted".

I don't fancy trying to operate heavy machinery, or anything more involved than say a remote control, because you might suffer for it. its not so much that its a heavy stone, you just wouldn't want to bother doing it... The stone lasts a good amount of time, and smoking more just seems to make you float along.

overall I like it, I would definitely grow it again, and I can see this getting a good seeing too once my other testing duties have been carried out.

I did have a small sample of the cream caramel, and I think  it was slightly more  potent, but I will come back to that later. …...once ive done some "testing".

Gee, the things I do for you lot, I dunno

hello again,

This week, I have mostly been …..testing cream caramel....

And  after yet more, tiring testing heres my verdict.

large_103.JPG

First up its been in the jar about 3 -4 weeks and pretty well cured.

When you first open the jar you get a nice whiff of  sweet caramel hashyness.

nice....the ground bud fluffs up nicely,  smells of more hashyness, with some sweet tones and a skunky background, it grinds lovely. the photo shows a poor example of one of these buds, it dried pretty well and got denser once the hairs shrunk back into the bud. its got good trich coverage which bodes well.

on to the smoking, and wow, this one is a instant hitter. I stuck with joints but reckon a bowl or bong of this would give you  a rapid "dunt".

I found myself smoking less than normal, because its potent, like..... very potent, and it lasts a good few hours before another is needed.

#

I smoke pure weed joints, single skinners and find this one to be kinda sweet, but hashy and spicey tasting too, but not rough on the inhale at all, its smooth as silk. the exhale is more spiceyness, leaving a taste in your mouth, like a good skunk does.

the stone hits you pretty quick and its not a daytime smoke, unless you like wandering around with the "time lapse" between someone asking you something, and it registering, its pretty heavy buzz, its more an evening smoke, would be great for anyone suffering from an eating disorder, because you will munch your way through pretty much everything in sight.., I even went through some fruit, and im Scottish ferfecksakes, and no it wasn't deep fried.....swoon.

Its a really relaxing smoke, if you are sitting out in the garden and the suns shining, like it was last week, theres a good chance you will nod off and get sun burnt.....

its not a smoke for smoking when you have stuff to do, because you wont do it, its a relaxing more indica leaning stone, quite heavy hitter that leaves you grinning inanely at nothing in particular. tastes sweet...

so to summarise, id say, relaxing, good for anyone suffering anxiety or eating issues, chills you to the max, and tastes like sweet hashy weed.

lovely, id definitely grow it again, but it would be saved for night time smoke, cos, I don't know if I mentioned it- its potent.....

next up is the sweet afghan delicious. that's this weeks menu....oh its a hard knock life .................the struggle is real

cheers

evening, well its been exhaustive, and im pretty worn out after my extensive "testing schedule", all done in the name of science like, but I think ive smoked enough to give a verdict on the Sweet afghan delicious S1.

these were an easy plant to grow and produced some fine dense dense nugs, from bottom of plant to top of tips.

it had a nice covering of trichomes and dried and cured well, losing very little of its initial smell.large_sad3.JPGlarge_109.JPGlarge_108.JPG

first up smell. This plant smells lovely, like a good indica should, like old afghan number 1 or black domina, that sweet, musky afghani smell to it.

when you crack the bud open, it releases more intense aromas, of sweet licquorice. it smells sweet and a little hashy.

it grinds lovely, the buds were dense on this plant, really dense, like drop it in a bucket and it would "dink" dense.

once its  ground up, it smells sweeter.

so skin one up and away we go, first few tokes and  you will feel uplifted and calm, its a "feel good" smoke, you feel all the stresses of the day disappear after a few more smokes. it tastes sweet on the inhale, like sweets, cant put my finger on which type of sweets , maybe pear drops, im not 100% sure,  but try it, you will see.

it really is a very very tasty smoke

it doesn't flatten you like some indicas can. (the cream caramel is a bit heavier a stone). Well that's not true, it will flatten you, but its not as heavy an initial hit as some indicas.

it tastes kinda similar to the cream caramel too, but maybe less intense and slightly less full on....

SO you initially get an uplifting , creative, happy buzz, and after 20 or so minutes you can feel it creeping in, to your shoulders, relaxing nicely the rest of the body. you then sit on the sofa contemplating life,  feeling gooooood, while wondering how you are gonna make it to the fridge....but you must make it, because you have the munchies .

I could smoke this all day, and I did, a few times.

.i would have no hesitation in recommending it, if you are looking for a night time smoke, a proper indica, like the old original afhhan #1 or domina.

Its great. the other strains were also great, ive honestly enjoyed them all equally. they are different smokes/effects for different situations, but they have all proved to be tasty, potent, easy to grow, and easier to smoke.

Id like to thank all the team at sweet seeds for supplying the seeds and putting up with the current worldwide covid situation, and wish them and all the other competitors the best of  health, and the best of luck with the competition.

Every one who has entered has done a cracking job, got right into the spirit of it, and have all got some lovely buds out of , its been a 100% success.

ive certainly had a blast.....

Diary complete, till next time...….

Cheers

Billy.
