G_lab
SWEET SEEDSCREAM MANDARINE F1 FV (SWS50) Light up a spliff turn up the music Skankin sweet! Hi everybody! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Welcome to my diary for the 5th Sweet Seeds Grow Diary Competition 2018-19! First of all, I'd like to say thanks again to Tommy, Jaypp, Sweet seeds and all Uk420 community to make this happen. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . STRAIN I had to scroll Sweet Seeds catalog again and again to choose 3 varieties to grow in this run. Finally, I decided to get 3 of the same variety in order to have more plants to select from. I'm gonna do a small pheno hunt to find the best mother to keep in my perpetual grow. As from the title, I chose Cream Mandarine FV F1 (SWS50). Both me and my lady loved the auto version of it, maybe the tastiest auto I ever grown. Well, this is a cross between a selected Cream Mandarine Auto (SWS29) and an elite clone of Ice Cool (SWS06), a diesel ancestor which helped eliminate autoflowering trait while enhancing that sweet orange/mandarine flavour. Here's a link to the strain guide description: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . GERMINATION January 9th I've thrown all the seeds in tap water and left them soaking for about 12 hours, then straight into jiffys inside a germination dome and put them on a side of my mothers area. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . January 13th-15th 6 seeds sprouted around the 13th, followed by other 2 on the 15th. Temps 16-21°C RH 70-80% . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . January 20th I waited a week to pot them up cause I was planning to grow 12 plants directly in final 3 liters pots with automated multiple watering. Unfortunately, last 4 seeds never sprouted, maybe cause low temps in the room did't help. I had to change my plans and opted for 7 liters pot, hand-watering. Here are them on their new shoes in the mothers area, where I've kept them for 2 weeks under 400w. Temps 16-20°C RH 70-80% Started feeding the bigger 6 while still waiting couple days for the 2 smaller seedlings. Using reverse osmosis, first of all, I always add Cal Mag Xtra to reach EC 0,4. Then I add additives and finally main nutrients to reach the desired EC. PH 5,8 EC 0,7 CalMag Xtra: 1ml/l ca. Voodoo Juice: 2ml/l B-52: 2ml/l Sensi Grow Coco A+B: few drops each . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . February 3rd After 2 weeks I finally moved them in their box. This raised temps a few degrees but at the same time it lowed down humidity a lil bit. Extraction and ventilation is at minimum. Air intake is passive for now, I'll switch it on active intake as soon as flowering stage begin. Watering every other day atm. Temps 18-26°C RH 60-75% EC 0,9 PH 5,8 CalMag Xtra: 1ml/l ca. Voodoo Juice: 2ml/l B-52: 2ml/l Sensi Grow Coco A+B: 0,5 ml/l . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
G_lab
February 10th Here's the current situation. They started growing fast and vigorously. I think I'll switch them to flowering stage very soon, today or maybe tomorrow. No training planned. I'd like to leave them in their natural shape to select exclusively based on their genetic potential. I will do just some basic lollipopping first sets of bottom leaves. Temps 18-25°C RH 60-75% EC 1,0 PH 5,8 CalMag Xtra: 1ml/l ca. Voodoo Juice: 2ml/l B-52: 2ml/l Sensi Grow Coco A+B: 0,7 ml/l . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Thats all for now. Hope you enjoy it! Wish a good contest to yall! G

G_lab
February 13th FLOWERING STAGE - SWITCH 12/12 Hello fellas! Last week I switched the lights to start flowering these little girls, after 29 days from germination. They are growing fast and the box is quite full already. Active air intake now. I'll keep vegetative light bulb on for a couple of weeks at least, to contain stretching because my box is just 1,80m high. Also, I'll keep feeding vegetative nutrients until I see flower formation begin. February 15th WEEK 1 - DAY 2 Had to slightly crop the one in top-right corner to maintain even canopy. After this pic, i've also raised the lowest in the center cause its born with a kind of twisted stem and is staying very low and squat. Today I'll take clones from all of them, pruning the first one or two sets, which allows more air to pass through the bottom of the plants too. Temps 16-24°C RH 54-65% The twisted one EC 1,0 PH 5,8 CalMag Xtra: 1ml/l ca. B-52: 2ml/l Sensi Grow Coco A+B: 0,8 ml/l . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Forgot to mention that I've put another plant in 3lts pot as a substitute to properly fill the canopy. Its a Cookie Crash bag seed. Now, seeing how fast they are all growing, I'll probably move that in a mini-cab cause I don't wanna risk to over-grow the box. Have a nice week everyone! G_lab
Good morning growerz! February 24th WEEK 2 - DAY 11 Things are going quite easy and smooth. Plants are stretching, first calyxes and pistils are appearing. They're all staying quite squat and bushy, i like it! Their big stems are very thick. Hope they'll bring some fat buds soon! The twisted one is still lower than the rest so I raised it a bit more, and the same for the one on the center-left. Removed the humidifier cause there's no need with all that vegetation, plants are breathing a lot keeping a good humidity level. Still feeding veg nutrients and veg light-spectrum hasn't changed either. I'll switch them both as soon as 3rd week kicks on! Had no time to take clones yet, hopefully can make it during these days. Temps 18-26°C RH 44-56% Not all plants are drinking the same quantity of water. I'm watering everyday the four on the corners and the top-center one. Every other day all the rest because I feel them too heavy in the second day. EC 1,1 PH 5,8 CalMag Xtra: 1ml/l ca. B-52: 2ml/l Sensi Grow Coco A+B: 1 ml/l ca. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Thats all for now! See ya all soon
