spirit animal - slug Posted May 1, 2018 Share Posted May 1, 2018 in the last couple of days my mind has turned to thinking about Red Seal, then i saw a post mentioning it too so i thought i'd start a thread / conversation used to get it in the early 90's perfect for that post rave come down, lovely soft squishy heavy hitting, bits of red plastic in there, you could roll it into a thin snake and lay it on top of the tobacco when it was windy, pinch out little bits if you didn't have a lighter used to love the effect of that stuff nice and couch locky heavy stone there was also the next grade up allegedly gold seal never got any of that but it was supposed o be even better and softer don't really buy anything anymore but wondered if it was still around where did it come from ? what strain would it have been ? don't really remember too much about tastes or flavours just that is was nice nice hash / smoke 7 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In honesty I reckon the quality wasn’t all that, it was actually pretty poor but the memory of it is enhanced by everything else that went with it, largely being young;) There was another hash about the same sort of period, it was very airy, would fluff up with heat and came in thick chunks because of its lack of density you’d think you’d got a good deal. Light in colour, sandy texture Morrocan origin I reckon, light smoke but quite uppy. Found it really conducive to those never ending bullshit conversations that seemed so profound at the time;) Im the same when in Dam or now Barcelona;) Kadinsky do a lovely hash called trans Himalayan iirc, decent price great hash. zero Posted May 1, 2018 Share Posted May 1, 2018 yeah , I never thought I would get used to weed as I was all hash ...the 'Red Seal' was like plenty of other things , it started off good then they used to chop it with all kinds of shit , in general the black Moroccan was better ,,, The best one I ever had was 'Silver Seal' from around 1986 ... zen-ken Posted May 1, 2018 Share Posted May 1, 2018 (edited) We did some hot knives recently just for shits and giggles....broke a milk bottle (heated on the gas and pushed off) and put a wet cloth over the top. We made moon rocks (we used really nice hash instead of kief and BHO to coat the weed and make the hash stick). Watching my mates face as he blew out a cloud of smoke with the 'f@ck me bro' expression was priceless. Im so boring these days I just roll spliffs and only use the nail bong for wax (when i can get it) I eat a fair bit as well due to me cancer. I found a wee chunk of black (no seal to say) in Paris a few years back - gave me a whitey! I also found a nice big chunk of Moroccan in Marseille a year or so later - never got a chance to try that, it was on my way to the airport! But the taste of that red/gold seal... The Hindu Kush region. All Hashish from the sub continent are dark brown or black. Afghani was generally hard and a little harsh but tasty nonetheless. Nepalese is wonderful as is the Hash from the Parvati Valley in India. I spent a month in Manali back in the 90's and the cream there was beyond wonderful.
