Dr. Greenthumb's Dedoverde Haze Auto, Blue Dream Auto - 2018 Outdoors Diary

Recommended Posts

WEEK 5

large.5b0bb5a162085_x3HSOWK5.jpg

x2 HSO Dedoverde Haze Auto, 31 and 37 days old.

x1 HSO Blue Dream Auto 37 days old.

Feed: two thirds strength dosage for the Autos, 5ml/L PM Soil Grow, 2.5ml PM Root Stimulant, 1ml PM Catalyst, 0.5ml PM Bio-Silicone, pinch of Epsom Salts.

Signs of over fert on the younger auto, so just flushed, next feed will reduce the dosage

and probably ditch the additives and just give them grow feed, start some bloom and MagCal.

Summary: @HSO-Mark, older Dedoverde Haze been flowering about a week, younger one just starting. :yep:

Blue Dream flowered last week. :yep: Roots showing from bottom of pots. All have doubled in height!

With lots of tree pollen blowing about and all the Frankenstein lightening saturday night,

l wonder if that’ll pollinate my plants and mutate them into monsters. :g:

Just whacked Aphids on my peppers and Spittlebugs/Froghopper on my strawberries in the GH.

Jet zapped with a garlic and Ecover washing up liquid mix, killed the Spittlebug with tweezers but the adult Froghopper jumped about 1’ somewhere else.

Now I know what to look for and how to deliver the organic death blow.

Also, got a saucer of stale beer with dead slugs in it and two resident toads in the GH - nature’s weapons. :badass:

Tip: Check under plant pots and saucers for slugs, inside and outside the GH.

Always best to check as slugs can cause havoc ;)

All 3 plants are looking in tip top shape ;)

So with the autos we are seeing flower start around the day 35 mark?

Things sound and look to be going very well with your first HSO outdoor adventure  :bong:

Now flower has started the real fun can begin  :headbang:

Thanks for the outdoor update brother I'll drop back in on the next  :bong:

Kind regards

I'd say earlier by a few days, pre flowers around 28 days, certainly flowering by week 5.

WEEK 6

large.5b1660674d34b_x3HSOWK6.jpg

x1 HSO Blue Dream Auto 45 days old.

x2 HSO Dedoverde Haze Auto, 39 and 45 days old.

Feed: 2L, two thirds strength dosage half veg and half bloom, will taper down the veg and up the bloom for next feed.

Summary: Explosion in growth, all around, nature’s isotonic recovery from the weight (wait) of winter.

Weather’s been great, lots of sun, humid, high temps at night, slight shower yesterday - hence inside the GH shots.

:yep:

eta: all four new autos a week old now. x1 Dinafem Amnesia Xxl, x1 HSO Dedoverde Haze, x2 HSO Blue Dream.

Back up crop if we get a decent long summer. Won’t be journaling them but they might get referenced. :nerd:

WEEK 7

large.5b1e3d53ef679_x3HSOWK7.jpg

x2 HSO Dedoverde Haze Auto, 46 and 52 days old.

x1 HSO Blue Dream Auto 52 days old.

Time is ripe for some early auto bud porn. Pistils starting to brown, trichs frosting up on those a week ahead.

DH1, 52 days

large.5b1e3d59e706a_DH1WK7.jpg

DH2, 46 days

large.5b1e3d5d8405d_DH2WK7.jpg

BD, 52 days

large.5b1e3d6059084_BDWK7.jpg

Feed: 2L, half veg and two thirds strength dosage bloom, Dedoverde Haze 1 and the Blue Dream, got half strength PK boosters.

Summary: To be fair, these autos look less developed than those I ran indoors last winter. They lack the bulk and mass of their indoors cousins.

Bud development is the same but outdoor plants exhibiting more stretch and not much side branching.

Hey, not complaining free seeds after all, just annotating the difference ’tween outdoors and indoors.

Second wave of autos need potting up this week to their final 10” pots.

Trellis back drop due to getting some sheep in to munch my summer field, gotta keep my girls safe, it’s only pigs that fly. :upside:

Bud production looks good and crystal coverage is kicking in ;)

Good luck with potting up phase 2 mate I'll drop back in in the next update to check progress out  :bong:

So far looking really good from my perspective  :headbang:

Kind regards

Japanese Maple, Acer Palmatum Atropurpureum, got some nice purple pheno foliage and similar leaf structure, good camouflage. :pitchfork:

large.5b291f6a0a8f5_JapaneseMapleAcerPalmatumAtropurpureum.jpg

Feed: Same as last week.

Summary: Weather’s been bit misty last few days, but sun is back, temps low 20s, set to warm up after the solstice on Thursday.

Second wave of autos potted up, final 10” pots. DH3 is sitting sadly still without catching up any of her sisters, runt of the nest, bit of a spring watch tragedy.

eta: Sheep are here, I have a flock to watch over - sheep to count - I can sleep easy as should keep the hunt out of my field.

Just got to keep my girls hidden from the shepherd and safe from becoming fodder.

Given Hague’s bombshell, might not have to hide our craft under a bushel anymore? :disguise2:

All 3 plants are now stacking on that weight and looking superb  :yep:

Now we can clearly see that you have 2 different phenotypes of Dedoverde Haze Auto. One has stayed very short, squat and put out one nice size central cola with limited side branches where no 2 looks to have grown around 40% taller, she still has that big central cola but also some nice size supplemental side branches  :yep:

Will be interesting to hear come harvest what these 2 phenos smoke and taste like :yep:

Now onto your blue dream auto. She looks to have a similar growth structure as no 2 Dedoverde Haze Auto. With one big central cola and some very nice side branches  :bong:

They are still in development mode and going of the picture I would say they still have 21 more days remaining then it will be harvest time. You maybe doing staggered harvests as the girls hit peak ripeness  :yep:

Looking fantastic in here and I'll keep dropping in as these girls finish up there 2018 outdoor adventure  :bong:

Until the next update  :headbang:

Kind regards

I reckon a month maybe a week more cos there's a week between ages, plus I can see a lot better than these pics show. :geek:

Recall in a thread somewhere you said that with autos outside, add a fortnight to harvest time from indoor autos.
I won't argue with you over this. :taz:

Oh for sure mate 20-25% longer to finish outdoor with autos compared to if grown indoors  :yep:

That's what I've seen over the last 5-7 years ;)

If an auto is done in say 70 days seed to weed indoors. This plant will take 84 maybe even 90 days outdoor to reach peak harvest ;)

Again, just my findings  ;)

Feed: Same as last week.

Summary: Apols for late update, been busy under the sun. Must mention for nearly 2 months, the weathers’ been dialled in,

spot on, just what the Dr. ordered. Very strong solar, warm wind, warm nights, now they’re calling it a heatwave, (local 28ºc, Lat 50.5º)

with references to the summer of ’76… :B):

Seeing as it’s week 9, flush time soon for the older plants.
