Blue Cheese & Bubba Kush CBD

Hi all, I'd like to thank Dinafem-Mark for the free seeds. This year I have a few outdoor plots with plenty of space and horizon to horizon sunshine to plant them in. The plan is to go for clones to create a more uniform harvest.

I'll start with some pics of the plots. You'll notice some of the pics have plastic sheeting layered over the holes and plots, I find this makes planting easier in heavy nettle areas, as there's no clearing needed, just lift the sheets and plant. I've also noticed that the sheets attract many worms due to the added warmth and protection underneath. Winter prep is the key. Free worm castings are a big bonus. I gave up trying to grow big plants a few years ago, now I concentrate on growing big/healthy roots. :D

pics in no particular order:

Haha yep, I'll have a personal diary in the outdoor forums where I'll be experimenting with about 5 other strains excluding freebies. There's also a massive breeding project this year with all pollen coming from 3rd generation outdoor uk pure bred guerrilla gold #3. This pollen has proven to take 2 weeks off finishing times in the next generation, and I'm looking forward to all the GG3 crosses next year. If anyone remembers my Goldberry strain that nearly went viral (not your fault chipshop Dave), that was testament to what the GG3 pollen is capable of.

Im also hoping to get a handful of panik beans to play with, so maybe a varied year indeed. I've got space for as many plants as I can produce this year, so I might as well go for it. Life's too short to regret NOT growing vast amounts of medicine. :D

Dinafem-Mark, I hope it's not against the rules to plan some pollination to cross breed your fine strains?

Obviously I was referring to any planned strains other than those in the title :wallbash:

I have to say I'm intrigued by your gg crosses what time of year do you get these to finish?

It's varied @Moobman, I find it easier to test the next generation indoors by flipping them 12/12 and seeing which phenos start to flower in the first few days. Those are the ones that tend to have the earliest finishing times. I look for these special traits, as well as other factors like vitality and leaf structure, finally the potency of the finished product. The mothers are usually selected from batches of 20-50 so they're usually the strongest of the bunch.

No mate not against the rules and actually maybe full to watch :)

Thank you for getting your outdoor grow thread up and running mate and you are more than welcome for the genetics.  We are very excited to see what you can do with them and how they perform in mother nature's hands :)

Nice looking plot and nice to see some prep work has already started :)

I'll be along for the ride and again thank you for starting this diary and for the plot picture much appreciated mate :yep:

All the best

Mark.

Looking good feller. Those plots look nice and open so they will get plenty of sunlight and a good amount of airflow. I'll be watching closely this year mate. I wish you all the best for the season ahead! :yep:
