Welcome to the comp, sorry I'm late, this looks like some high maintenance growing to me, you must have to keep right on top of all that new growth when they get going - I'm looking forward to watching this one, it's good to see something different, I'm so impressed with your set up, but I have to agree with your wife, she made the right decision banishing that picture/light thing lol

This is them 5 days from breaking the surface. I filled the plant pots up with a bit of excess coco to cover the lanky stems a bit and give them better stability.

All up and alive , no runts by the look of them.

So begins week 1 of three weeks of ridiculous dirty veg lol.

Still right next to the 250w. I'm gonna run with the 250 for the coming week probably then think about switching the 400 on.

As soon as they have enough leaves to use the light.

The metal halide is fine for now.

Ive just bought a new sun master bulb all ready to go .

All for now

Potting up at 12 days.

What madness is that lol.

I told you it was gonna be intense growing, no fucking about.

They have had one week and I wanted them potted up into 3.5l so I can get the drip line on them and they start rapid growth.

Normally this would be happening at least a couple of weeks later.

So this is how I do it.

Bury an empty pot in coco

I then use some of these to sprinkle in the hole and I think they do have an amazing effect on root growth.

That's what it looks like

Sprinkled in and about, ready to drop the smaller plant into its new home.

Speaking of

The roots are doing well , still plenty of room in the pot I know but no time. 12 days aint long I suppose.

I strongly thought about putting them directly into their 6.5l finishing pots but decided that just because I'm doing it fast , doesn't mean I have to drop things out.

They are gonna be in these pots for 7 days , which by then I'm hoping should be rooted out enough to go up into the 6.5s., then I can leave them alone and concentrate on top training to the screen.

The cream 47 I'm guessing from its leaf structure may stretch a bit more than the other two so she is at the back corner and has a bit more room to spread herself out.

I'm having The Black jack in the middle and the Sad on the end, like so . New positions < new pots and now a drip line each . They will get a minute twice a day.large.20170226_110429.jpg

This was how I left them , after a good few hours attending to them.

The metal Halide is running 24/7 and this week I have the turned on the 400 switching on an 18/6 cycle. So now they have 550w on them and a lovely temp of around 77F . The electric blanket is still running 24/7 as temps are still considerably low this week where I am, and I want to take no chances with cold roots during this pot up stage a bit prematurely.

In my experience there is only a small window with coco where u can fuck up and this is it . Most of the time the coco holds so much air they root successfully and rapidly every time but if they get too overwatered combined with a bit of cold roots you can easily stop growth and things will grind to a halt , growth wise.

I'm hoping that this coming week they really take off.

The extra light will really help. Also with drippers in coco they do go mad with growth once you have them past a certain point. I find the granules give them a massive boost once the roots make contact.

Anyway that's all for now or from Sunday I should say when I took the pics and did all my plant business.

Ill update on Sunday hopefully after they have had another week of veg , now with the 400 on em.

Over and out

zz
