those little ash plugs are intriguing, seems like you have hard water so no extra cal/mag required. once those colydens come off the seedling stage is over I always try and pull them off a bit early so that stage can be over. Really do not like the early stages of development. They are the hardest to get right imo.

All the best with the rest. :smokin:

@Elvis Reg the cal:mg is off but correctable, I agree with you about the early stages with them being so delicate. Looks like on this occassion I have dodged a bullet. I will post some updated pics this weekend with a full progress report. Thanks for stopping by mate :oldtoker:

Aside the dodgy water and thrips they looking great. Get on some provado ultimate bug killer from b and q if them thrips take hold, I had quite the infestation with my first grow and one spraying of that sorted them right out. Funny I hadn't even considered them with this grow, I guessed they wouldn't be around in winter... Not so. Looks like you're on it anyway. Good luck :oldtoker:

@93junglist Cheers man, I've got Capt Jacks on the way for the thrips issue (I will do an update with the genocide lol ) This is my first time with these little buggers so fingers crossed the chaos subsides a touch, although i doubt it somehow. Really appreciate the visit and input from both you guys, thanks

Hello again,

Its Sunday night and after the fun and games of the beginning I am happy to report that things are on the up! Tonight they were taken out for a closer inspection following yesterdays neempalm attack (Capt Jack is still making his way to the rescue) and decided it was a good time to get the camera out and so here you go...

Ice Cool looking much greener and happier for the adjustments and the neem oil (sorry about the blur)

She has some early spacing as you'll see, I ascribe this to using only 400w MH during veg (no seperate area so all in the growing phase are in one tent), but, she is thickening up nicely in the main stem

Cream Caramel, which had more noticeable yellowing last week...

Normal service has been restored lol (for now, theres still lots of time for more chaos)

CC has also begun to go up ...

And now for the customary shamelessly well placed promo shots...

So, onward and upward for these two beauts , thank you for popping in  ATB

Looking all good mate. Those Cream Caramel were much trickier for me in the earlier stages, heavy Indica genetics I think. Short and bush is fantastic once they get above about 14", but until then they can be scrunched up and a bit fussy I find.

But god they are a nice finished smoke, pure relaxing.

ATB onwards mate.

@GreenVision I have always tended to the Indica side in my grows, I have struggled with sativas in the past , not enough N in grow I think and the stretch does me . Cheers for stopping by mate

@Fragg I did try to get a flag/t-shirt etc but in the end I only have the sticker, mind you , you've been nominated so I think you're doing OK mate  Best of luck with the monthly prize mate

@Breezus  They are looking good.  Makes me realise I am not paying enough attention to mine  :oldtoker:

@DomTong I used to be a casual gardener, I actually find the ocd Ish approach more satisfying and ultimately better rewards too. Thank you for your kind words and visit mate :yinyang:

Evening one and all,

I thought tonight I would do an update on my battle with thrips. I have been using a systematic neempalm approach with diligent cleaning of the groom on a weekly basis.

Thus far it has not eradicated the little blighters (taking a quick toke on a biff to ease my tension) but, I am nothing if not relentless in my pursuit of a trouble free environment.

I appreciate that I am not the first nor certainly the last to encounter natures plant abusers, so for those that have fought and won this battle I commend you and hope this little saunter

down horrific memory lane doesn't put you off visiting ( plent of root and bud porn to come :pitchfork:) I would also entice you with bondage but alas time restraints (see what I did there) won''t

allow for all that fun on this journey. Anyway, I digress, As you will see from the pics (coming up, stay tuned) I have not romoved them as yet. I am awaiting a little help in my war and when it arrives I will be posting a full pre/during/post apocalyptic update with

images and possibly videos (not for the young or squeamish) .....

Now here are the girls in their natural (indoor) habitat

I will continue to do updates (more regularly since all the other diaries are clearly better kept) and fully appreciate everyone who has and continues to stop by with awesome support.

Thank you from the bottom of my bottom

In keeping with my promise to myself I would update more often here is tonights headlines:

Tonights top story - Ice Cool outgrowing Cream Caramel .... I C is now pushing ahead in the growing for seeds stakes, she took 500ml of feed made up of 0.5 m/l bio silicone and 2ml/l bio rhizo . She is sitting in 1.5Ltr batmix boots and shouldn't need to start her fishmix umtil she moves into full flowering mode. She will be getting her 6.5l home in approx 10 days.

In other new - Cream Caramel still finding her way... C C had the worst of the water issue and her recovery has been slower than expected. She is only about 10 mm shorter than I C but she is drinking a tad less. Her feed (same mix as I C) was only 400ml and she is drooping a bit after feeding. I'm not overly concerned as I think she will perk up over the next few days.

On a positive note I expect both girls to be ready for their 6.5l forever homes on schedule (10th March) with a view to moving them into 12/12 around the Ides of March (Shakespeare for those unfamiliar with the reference :toldya:)  That should allow me just enough time to fully flower them by competition end, but things can still go awry .... now some calm chilling music to feed by

Have a chilled evening all and thanks for looking in (sorry about no pics, full pic update Friday!)
