DAY 63 of flowering.

9 weeks have now past since the start of flowering and the girls are more or less ready.  I will leave them for another 3-7 days in order to properly finish, as i do like to have a few golden trichs in the buds before i chop them.  Low temps are still a bit of an issue, but the crystal candy aren't very sensitive to temps as other strains currently being grown. :yep: I'd rather have a few degrees less than having high humidity - and these are my options.  I've seen a dehumidifier in the sweet seeds shop and think I'll order that to combat the problem.

The girls are being feed with plain tap water and leaves are now yellowing.

Crystal Candy 1 was leaning over this morning. No wonder! She is still packing weight. :)

Crystal Candy 1 retained her very nice bubblegum type smell so far, throwing some white pistils and stacking calyxes.  Will leave her another 5-7 days in the tent, as most of the trichs are now cloudy.

Crystal Candy 2 is the berry pheno and is still stacking calyxes as well.

Crystal Candy 2 also has mostly cloudy trichs.  Too bad i can not make proper makros yet, but i try to get as close as possible while retaining some quality on these images.  Need to get a tripod and proper lighting.  Then again, I'm using the camera of a friend, so will need to get an entire Camera set-up eventually.

Crystal Candy 3, the melon pheno, has remaind the quickest of all three.

Crystal Candy 3 is still throwing a few white pistils, but she will be chopped down in the next 3 days. :yahoo: The buds already contain quite a few brown trichs and tbh i'm getting itchy fingers. :)

Hope you enjoyed the sunday morning budporn! :D

That's going to be a breeze to trim ! Congratulations to on awesomeness !

:bong:

I agree, they look like they'll be fairly nice to trim.  They have few large fan leaves with good spacing and compact buds with few leaves sticking out.  Can't wait to get started with the trim... and thanks for the nice comments.

You got some crazy crystall net going on and can't wait to see them fill up for you, which they certainly will. :yep:

You going to have issues with them... i mean the scissors will gunk up fast lol lovely stuff :oldtoker:

Don't mind an issue like that.  Big fan of the scissor hash.  And got some iso in the house and will be making use of it, if it gets really bad.  Recently made my grinder look like new again and cleaned all my scissor with iso as well.  Great stuff! Will be washing out all my jars with it before refilling them with fresh bud.  This should give me some nice oil... :D

Been too many years since i had jolly ranchers.  But yeah, all three have really pleasant sweet smell.  #3 definitely is more towards melon - not really watermalon, but the more towards the cantaloupe kind.

Nice to see you doing a diary - sorry missed most of it but turned up in the nick of time by the looks of things and just in time to see some decent buds and the chop.

DAY 67 of flowering

I decided to wait for the chop until saturday (another 2 days).  Almost completing 10 weeks. :) I'm sure the girls are happy to be under the artificial sun for a few more days.
They've been on plain tap water for over a week now and the healthy green colour is fading away.  Still few white pistils appearing on the new calyxes, but nothing to worry about, as all three of them contain golden trichs on the buds. :naughty:

Crystal Candy 1 and her impressive main cola.

Now probably the last picture update of the Crystal Candy plants. :woot:  I'll try to take snaps of the whole plant during chop.  But don't like to handle the camera during chop with all the sticky resin...

Cracking grow mate, plants look very frosty and tasty.

Trimming looks easy too

Yeah, trimming will be fairly easy.  But Crystal Candy 1&3 have quite a few side branches. #2 has mainly 3 big colas.

 looking forward to filling up the jars with crystal candy buds.  Smoke report will be done in roughly a month ;)

Welcome HG.  You're just in time for the grand finale!

@AustrianTokker really gorgeous buds you've grown mate, loving the stacked calyxes! :) Few more days flush then full jars of sweet smoke, great job man enjoy! :)

Thanks Fragg! One last hurdle.  The chop.  Not my favourite task in growing this wonderful herb, but it does get rewarded with awesome scissor hash. :)
