blackpoolbouncer
Sorry sorry sorry. I'm a ball bag I know. But......the long overdue update is here. I've finally got a night off from doing anything so tonight is uk420 night. We have got lots of pictures. I'm afraid most of them are of the critical 2.0 though with a few blue kush chucked in. You will also note we have some new additions to the party. I've got a couple of my own outdoor hacks testing out my new organic living soil. So far everything looks very good. I will go into this in detail in another post/thread as I think it deserves it. Soooooo...... The critical 2.0. This girl was a stretchy girl during veg and left her a bit open and sparse with medium side branching. She was never destined to be a massive yielder but returned me about the 4 or 5 oz mark. I wasn't fantastically impressed with her to be honest going into flower but as the buds matured I like what I saw and I think you will agree. She is one frosty sticky biatch and now the buds been in the jars a good few weeks is an absolute love to smoke. Lovely pungent aroma on the buds and a taste to match. A lovely thick smooth smoke, sweet and rich with a hint of something I can't put my finger on and a certain little hazyness to it. Excellent smoke indeed and a beautiful high that's a nice balance of cerebral and body. She was a dream to grow really, very little bother at all and was only a relatively light feeder. I never went above 4ml pl of bloom with this girl and she finished of beautifully coming to the end showing no deficiencies but nitrogen. Happy growing Her sister the blue kush. She turned out to be a bit of an odd one with strange, very sativa looking buds. I had a similar ish pheno with my last run but this one is way different. She was a bitch to trim but the extra effort was worth it because although the the buds are not your average close dense nugs, they are still really nice. She was a bit fussy and I struggled to keep her 100% happy but she did alright. I reduced the feed a bit too early in the end so by the time she was ready for the chop she was looking a bit over yellow and hungry She did take a bit longer than i thought to finish so that was my bad bit it doesnt seem to have bothered the end product one bit. As always, the blue kush smells and smokes amazing with its distinctive aroma. Its like a floral, fruity car air freshener thats in a car with a hint of an electrical fire behind the dashboard like not burnt plastic but very warm which has been cleaned with Berry floor cleaner. She was an absolute beast of a plant that had circa 50+ flowering tops. If the buds would have been more like the criticals buds and less like Dr grinspoon buds it would have been twice the weight. As it was she weighed in just over 7 oz which to be honest I'm happy with. 11 or 12 oz from two plants . Its enough to tide me over as I'm well underway with the second critical 2.0. She got transplanted on Saturday if I remember correctly and got 3 litres of water with 0.5ml pl of maxi crop seaweed extract. Being the only plant on the go at the minute I didn't want to risk it in my at the time untested soil so this one's in good old clover multi purpose as per usual. I'd give both plants probably a solid 7 outa ten. If the critical filled out/produced massive colas then it would get a 9. Same for the bk. If she had compacted her buds a bit she would have been a 9........to be fair though, most of the blue kush I have run have been good solid bud producers and although the bud isn't as pretty as her sibling pheno it is no less tasty to smoke. As far as just evaluating the smoke goes, both plants get a solid 9. They really are a delight, and after recently switching to smoking pure spliffs having such tasty weed that I'm enjoying smoking so much has come at the right time. Anyways sorry again for the lateness of this, the photos tell the story mostly anyway I think. Enjoy. The bud sat on its own on a raw packet is a random blue kush bud. I'll get some shots not both lots are dry and have had a bit of time to mature. Anyways folks. I hope ya like then. This really has been a minimal grow and has had zero effort put in bar one round of lst and a bit of supercropping unruly branches. I need to get back to spending time with my plants. Now I've not got to worry about thousands of plants and I can focus on mine now the nights have drawn in under my artificial sun. You may notice that there is a pineapple top planted. I don't know if it's gonna do much but I thought fuck it why not try. Takes 5 years to flower aparently so I'll be OK under my light regime for a bit. I'll also globe bringing in some chillies in there soon for a couple for months from seed. The plan is to grow em under my 24 hour light for 60 days and then take them into my 24'c heated workshop on the south facing window directly under 2x58w cfl strip lights which are on from 6 am till 10 pm....pefect I've got a bit of floor space in my groom so I'm thinking of getting a few others bits growing in there too like lettuce, radish, spring onion or maybe chard. Why not eh? All this organic veg/no till has turned me a bit crackers....I'm seriously considering building a giant flower bed in my groom by removing my floor and boxing round the hole underneath my caravan which would give me 36"deep beds which would be full of supersoil with earth underneath.... hmmm. Could grow some big trees in a 1200x1600x650 container with 2m headroom . It would be like growing outside inside. I'll leave that thought with you. Peace out folks Edited November 17, 2016 by blackpoolbouncer

Could be a bugger in the resale value!! Atb bob Edited November 19, 2016 by bobnudd
Dinafem-Mark
A in all with minimal effort you have still pulled if a very good grow mate those critical buds look super dense and the blue kush you sound to have a more sativa dominant pheno but by the sound of things the best would have been a mix of the 2? For 2 plants just under 12oz Imo is a very good yield and as you said should tide you over until the next round are in. On a side note I love seeing other plants in a grow room, Did you say you were growing pineapple? Great job as per usual mate, you sure did get both plants to put out a lot of tops but the critical looked to have more flower tops but yielded less? Over all a great result from a great grower Nice to see you back posting matr and still doing wonders with out genetics Thank you for the multiple picture update mate much appreciated and again great grow and enjoy the fruits of your labour Until the next time All the best D-M.
blackpoolbouncer
@@autodog aye, soil temps would be a bit of a bugger. Don't think I would actually do this, it's a cool idea like but would take quite the load of work. Think I'll stick to pots for now. @@bobnudd cheers dude. The chillies I rescued didn't do so great and started looking piss poor. The frost the night before I took them out must have done them in. They were looking very sorry and unfortunately beyond saving. Got loadsa seeds so I'm gonna fire some more up.....as you know I've got a few companion plants already. The pineapple was a fail. All it was was the crown off a shop bought pineapple. Thought I'd give it a go but it wasn't a taker. Carrots and celery starting to get going in there too Anyway. Onto that little critical you saw all that time ago. Everything was going swimmingly till about day 21 ish when I saw the first sign of calcium deficiency. Was a feed behind giving cal mag so in my infinite wisdom I decided to give them a top dressing of calcium carbonate and calcified seaweed. Thinking this wouldn't be immediately available I gave a strong dose of cal mag. Well with calcium in abundance it's caused an imbalance and I managed to do a pretty good job of locking out potassium and a bit of mg for a while. Things got looking a bit shitty for a while but it's pulling round now it's all calmed down. So for anyone contemplating top dressing to fix a cal def. Take heed and be cautious. Thanks @@Dinafem-Mark. Your correct. It is a very sat leaning pheno, it doesn't bother me and it a bit sweeter than the other phenos of bk I've had. It really is a sweet but sharp fruity delight. The critical after a cure has turned out delightful with a certain bit of hazyness to it. I've come to the conclusion I like what's in the critical genetics. Sorry I haven't been about a great deal, I've got two diaries on the go. Doesn't mean I'm giving up on the dinafem because I'm cm seriously contemplating popping those photo blue widow and critical 2.0 and giving them 6 or 7 weeks veg for a cheeky photo grow. I'll be sure to take lots of photos but the updates wont be super frequent. I'll always try and show off Dinafems wares and I'm sure those strains will put out some tasty looking buds to show off. So yea. Since the last update the room now has both a 400w dual spec hps and a 315w CMH illuminating things......it's bloody bright I tell thee. Apart from my fuck up locking out potassium things are sailing along nicely. Temps etc etc. Until we meet again. Tomorow I will get some beans cracking Edited December 12, 2016 by blackpoolbouncer
Dinafem-Mark
So far things are looking great mate you look to now have the lockout issue under control You've done a great, detailed update filled with some great shots You can definitely tell you have the extra lumens from the growth and yes it will be super bright in there How are you finding the CMH mate? Any noticeable, beneficial effects/negatives? As always a great detailed update, filled with great info and a load of shots to show the progression of things Thanks you for putting so much detail into these threads mate and thank you for the picture update very much appreciated! Until the next update All the best Mark.

Bud Baker
Hi @blackpoolbouncer i wanted to read your old diary mate the one that you said about in your first post but I can’t find the signature, read a lot of your stuff mate and it’s really helped me out so cheers for that - currently got a big autoflower on the go at the minute - been LST and a few super crops and she’s a beast - wanted to read your older diary as you said you go a bit more into nutes on it - also my autoflower is on week six now and I’m only giving 2ml of bloom per litre - would you say that’s too low? It’s old timers by plant magic - wish I could put a pic up but I can’t work it out on this site to save my life and any thoughts on defoliation? Don’t really like chopping bits off so wanted to know your opinion - thanks in advance mate
