Slippy One
Certainly an option, but not for the faint hearted indoors without a drain. I was toying with the idea, or a float type valve for unlimited reservoir, but manually, a res is easy to manage. I have 60L which lasts around 10-14 days depending on the the cycle is, takes 5 mins to fill and means there's not much to do. You wont be a plant slave that's for sure! the Blumat system is expandable exponentially with the mains pressure. You could theoretically water 1000's with enough pressure. Slippy One
3 minutes ago, leafsta said: @Slippy One just to double check, youre using 4 carrots in total for each 12l pot is that right? How many drippers are you using per pot? When you say water unti run off, is this by hand? Yep, first go was 2, 4 means I have built in redundancy if some go wonky mid grow. I ride the valve on the carrots with tiny adjustments as needed. Hard to explain but if there's a tiny bit of runoff, I'll close them a few degrees, if the tray is bone dry, open them for a more frequent drip. The Blumats are clever but do need dialing in as the plant gets thirsty mid cycle.
Slippy One
Sry OP, we totally hijacked your LED thread with coco pellets. Apologies. There's a thread called 'lazy growing...' in the coco coir forum if you have any questions or want to see if it would suit you.
