Not sure what your doing with the zips though mate, mine have always been solid I think.

zipping and unzipping them, what else am I gonna be doing with them? lol it was the 1 x 1 x 1.8m, it might even be documented in one of my diaries, I had only had the tent a short while before the rubber grabber fell off and then shortly after that the metal guider on the opposite side of the zip mechanism came away completely, leaving me unable to actually zip the thing at all - and that was from a single use per day, unzipping to water and then zipping back up - and that was after a 2.4 x 3.6m and a 1.2 x 2.4m had both suffered similar zip related fates.

@GSZZ cut your own extraction points?  How do you seal the ports around the ducting?  Duct tape? I'm always surprised by the lack of DIY ports apart from those from Secret Jardin for 3" cable porting and I think they're discontinued now...

Well I mean, if a guy gets hungry enough, who am I to argue.

But not had an issue with any of mine, BTH I really am a nightmare for changing my gear. Brilliant customer for grow shops, but bloody stupid when it come to my wallet. I dont think I've ever used a tent for a year before changing the room its in or needing a different size due to equipment change etc. I probably have a different tent in each of my Diaries.

Watch this space now though. Pound to a pinch of shit I've jinxed myself and rip a zip of something before the end of the week now. And my budbox is still up as we speak with 3 of my clones hanging up drying.

Zips on this tents are so loud,I usto use winter cap over it while unzipping to silence it up so my neighbors won't hear that sound 20 times a day lol

Ditched tents after a while, you think reflection dropped so much you can see it on yield? Can you measure that somehow?

Not sure about this 'older tents losing reflectivity = loss of yield' theory, as I've been using a Hydrolab tent for several years, and on my recent grows I've been getting the highest yields since I've owned the tent

lol …. I thought I was just overly paranoid. Pound for pound perhaps one of the loudest things on earth. Trying to sneak in is a fucker. The only thing louder is a top loading VHS machine receiving a pornographic movie while everyone’s sleeping

I'm not sure why I went for one with a white interior. I struggle to keep temps up, something to do with the way they reflect light. And I really don't like the way Budbox tents open, too many zips to faff around with and they eventually fail anyway.

Timber and insulation is way better imo.

Line it with some general purpose thermawrap insulation, it’s supposed to be as good as 15mm PIR. £18 for 7.5m x 0.6m from the station of tools  :yep:

How would you do this? Inside and you lose reflectivity and outside there's the zips and other duct/cable ports to work around. I once had a tent w8th a curtain and it was quite effective. Solid piece of timber on top with a hole for extraction ducting. Then there was a curtain rail around the outside,  it was flipped over and thermal curtains would hang around the tent. It was only meant to act as a blackout screen but worked well as an insulator too.

Stick it inside with silver and double sided tape. The silver tape is a bastard to get off the thermwrap. You can cut it with scissors :yep:
