rumplestilskin'n Posted October 16, 2022 Share Posted October 16, 2022 @4kali Hey bro, got my hand on some Northern lights trim while im waiting on the chelato stuff drying so i thought I'd show you how i make my hash. I'll post a pic of the finished products when they're (NL trim) ready, I press it for 24hrs then put it in the freezer for another 24hrs so be patient brutha and we can take a gander at what was produced did the jam sambo hash/floorboard hash first so we will need to wait on the mold hash. Then some more waiting for the chelato hash to be rattled out after the NL hash is all done. Deep breath Lets begin Here is the apparatus Blend it up Brush it out after its all ground up Get it all into whatever you do your seperation with Get what you've collected Keep whats been left over and BHO it if you'd like Get some parchment/greaseproof paper and make an envelope like so. I've used cellotape but before i used brown parcel tape as it works better but just used whatever was at hand Soak three sheets of thick printing paper, dont ask why three its just a magic number Da goods, for the more snobbish smoker you could refine this a bit more with a finer mesh but I've 2 hungry bruthas so more the merrier Anytime i tumble i always end up with 40g's weirdly enough (or there abouts) Put 20g into the envelope, also 20g is a good ammount for a 2x4 mold Trim of the envelope, fold & tape the top. Give it a wee shakey poos to get it all the same thickness and keep it thin Wrap up the parchment parcel in the 3 sheets of saturated paper like so wrap it up again in more parchment paper Tape it up completely, surrounding it so as no bursts or tears occur. Brown parcel tape from experience works best Give it a final wrap in some tinfoil Now for the mold hash. Get the mold and draw out the shape of the inside of the mold. Do that twice, one for the top and one for the bottom. Also make a strip for the side. Bit like lining a cake tin. Get some vegetable oil, or for the posher folk get some olive oil Get the base and lightly, lightly being the primary word here and grease the bottom half of the mold Do the bottom third of the middle part of the mold, depends on how thick you reckon the hash will turn out. Cut the stip to length. Place the middle part over the bottom half and place the first oblong piece of parchment paper and again lightly grease. Then add the wee strip after lightly greasing it before insertion. Evenly put in the goods and tamper down, go nuts when tamping down at the end of the day your going to compress it so dont be shy. Lightly grease the last oblong piece on both sides before placing it on top. Place the last half in the mold and squeeze the life out of it. Watch when lifting because at this point you could easily make the mistake of grabbing the middle piece then DISASTER! grab it by the bottom when moving it. There we have it two types of hash ready for the making. Ive done the sambo hash first After placing in the oven to decarb, warm and meld together. It will come out all puffy, dont worry this is good. Floorboards work well but you can really use whatever is at hand just like I've done here. Sandwich it between two pieces of your choosen boards Get a g clamp, its what ive used before and have done so but im making a steel box section frame (50x50mm) that will allow me to use a 2tonne bottle jack to do the business from now on. make sure the point of pressure being applied will be in the centre of the envelope. Leave it for 24hrs after you've tightened the death out of it and i mean tighted the fuck out of it. After 24hrs of compression bang it in the freezer for another 24hrs. Then have a well deserved beer of your choice. If beer isnt your thing have a brew Hope you enjoy this as much as i have mate. rumplestilskin'n Posted October 17, 2022 Author Share Posted October 17, 2022 just made a tumbler with 100 mesh screen (equivalent to 149 micron) higher number of mesh lower the micron, big container (new protein powder container, the kind of bottle/jar which didnt have anything in it, was brand new and unused) and used fidget spinners as bearings but next time I'll just use actual bearings. I would turn it with an old drill with a paint mixer paddle with a load of rubber bands a tape on it, using a cable tie to hold drill trigger in a bit for a slow spin. whatever i could get my hands on or delivered during lockdown really. So you put the whole thing inside another cylinder, whiz the hell out of it, backwards and forwards until all the trichs that are going to get through the screen, have come through? I use it to blitz whatever im using. In regards to the tumbler, tumble it slowly and for about 15 to 30 mins. probably best to do it in intervals if 5 or 10 and keep each batch if you want but i just do it for the 30 and whack it in. @B-real hey bud, sounds like a bit of actual work for me. Been toying with the idea of using a jigsaw to reciprocate a container / sieve back and forth, maybe could use a multitool but they're shite and will probably burn itself out after a while. You just give me the idea of using a 12l bucket like out of a diy shop with a mesh half way down it, rig it somehow to a jigsaw and your off! Personly i think a drum works best especially if it has a wee bit in it to help toss and turn the stuff inside like that thing in a cement mixer that catches the spade and make the spade handle slap the shit out of you or worse 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Plus with the jam sambo method it makes the saturated paper steam and give it a good old mushing together. change your internet browser bro and your problems will be fixed, the likes of the @ function and next page will work. rumplestilskin'n Posted October 18, 2022 Author Share Posted October 18, 2022 (edited) thats the mold process ready bit of trouble liberating it, few licks of a blow torch and a screwdriver helped free it here it is lost about 4.5 to 5 grams when the goo squeezed out. need to work on the lining the mold with parchment, there was 19 point something or other went in probably just will do the jam sambo technique from now on and not bother with the molds, pain in the arse to clean and lost a good bit of the quality of the hash when the goo came out. Not to mention molds are quite pricey. have a look only lost about 2g in the sambo technique heres how i made the ball, just winged it. folded it like puff pastry rolled it bashed it then give it a good rolling and squishing, squeezing and rolling, smooshing and rolling in my palm. in the end here is what i ended up with. its now in a tupperware container in my moderately warm larder and will burp it every day and give the ball a rolling every week. any opinions of where, how, dark or light, oxidation needed or not, warm or cold and how long i should store this please please get involved in this thread and throw your hat in the ring. even if it is to say im making a mistake or even talking mad dog shit id like to know and learn. I'll post up when i make the chelato hash. It will be the jam sambo hash method pressed in my new makeshift bottle jack press, as many as i can muster and put in the press at the same time hope you all enjoyed looking at what ive done, i know ive enjoyed this. always a school day when i make hash.
