I'm in a moderately hard water area. I have to add a bit of pH down to get it in range, but once it's there it stays there. Sal

I'm hand watering coco with Hydrocrop at the moment and thinking of switching to a more inert media and automated recirculating system. It's good to hear others are having success in NFT and DWC with it. I'm probably going to go for a version of stu914's "mish mash" system with buckets or pots of clay pebbles. I'm about to start experimenting with germinating and cloning in rock wool in preparation.
JonDaMon
Just ordered myself the HYDROSOL A/B 500g dual pack to try out. 100g dissolved into 1L to make a stock nutrient solution of 1L is pretty good to be fair. means for £16.99 I can make 5L of A and 5L of B to replace my Dutch pro at £14.99 for 1L of A/B. will update here after I’ve had a successful harvest from it.

I doubt you'll be disappointed. 1.2 EC seems to be the sweet spot in coco across several strains so far for me. Here I am at three weeks with it. Actually there's also a little one in soil in the middle here. That one has started to yellow a little at the bottom. The coco and Hydrocrop ones are good and green all the way down. I suspect you'll be just as happy as your wallet with your purchase. :-)
greengal
@JonDaMon There's a feed chart on Hydrocrop's website if you need one ...Using only the Hydrosol A and B nutes from start to finish. I believe the light chart is intended for autos, the regular for photos and the heavy for aggressive growing with CO2. Sal

Sal thanks for the info but I haven’t followed a feeding chart since around 2014 when i switched to Dutch pro and they recommended feeding seedlings with 1.8EC Edited January 23, 2023 by JonDaMon

stu914
@doominik I use their recommended amount to start with, check EC and plants' appearance as they grow. That's when I decide to increase or decrease the strength...hope this helps bud...

stu914
@CDF20 I've never checked my tapwater's PH bud so can't say from personal experience. Advanced recommend RO water but I've used straight from the tap in more than one location over the years and never had as much as a yellow leaf. What system are you using to grow, hydro, coco or mud?

Thanks Coco,ph 7.5 Ec 0.9 water ,sensi coco advanced nutes worked great, just finished first grow Some twisting on top growth in veg prolly ph related, didn't affect the plant as yield seems great as well as bud quality and density. Barry blunt
I really like mammoth p, the only thing I use except canna coco a & b, I did side by side on a grow last year the difference in root mass was really obvious… they gave me a small thing of it for free to try been sold on it since, how it compares to other similar products would be a better test but way beyond my patience Edited January 26, 2023 by Barry blunt
