Luckily, I've got the land to do it, and if in a few years it's ever legal, I'd like to set up a canna CoOp allotment type thingy, for uk420 peeps.:pitchfork:

That's a beautiful idea.

Going back to the original topic, I think outdoor growing is going to be a big part of the future in the UK. And I see that largely as a positive thing, despite the new problems which come with it (rippers, competition for space etc). Aside from electricity prices getting ridiculous, outdoor growing is more environmentally friendly and will increasingly appeal to people who are concerned about the climate crisis.

I think the way forward is for those of us who grow outdoors to welcome and encourage everyone who wants to try an outdoor grow – to help and support them in any way we can.

The main frustration I currently have with it is the lack of information about what strains will do well outdoors. RGSC have made a huge, huge contribution to changing that, for which I'm forever grateful. There was a real need there, and RGSC filled it. But I also know from experience that a lot of other strains grow really well in the UK, not just ones which are bred specifically for our climate. All sorts of factors come into play, such as how quickly they flip into flower after the solstice, and whether they are derived from genes from rainy climates and therefore have a natural genetic tolerance of cold/wet weather. The trouble is, there is basically fuck all information about these things from seed breeders, because they're working on the assumption that everybody grows indoors, or else they're in places with much drier climates (like Spain) so they don't really know what their strains will do in a climate like ours. That lack of information means that when I want to grow a variety I haven't tried before, I have to do loads of research to try to find somebody who's tried it outdoors, and/or make my own judgement based on past experience and guesswork. That, IMO, is one of the key things which could do with some urgent improvement. I reckon a lot of people are put off growing outdoors because they aren't sure what will work, or because they wrongly think a particular strain is suitable for indoor only – simply because of a lack of information. It's one of the reasons this site is priceless, because it's getting that information out there.

Can't stop and won't stop. Love it to much. Everything from growing to extracting. The hard graft to. Could say its a part of me now. :cowboy:

Would love to try a proper GG but it's just so difficult to find secluded safe spots.

Ideally I'd like to buy a wee plot of land somewhere not too far from home. Set up an allotment, and have some big old polytunnels for growing weed alongside other crops that need shelter from the northern climate. Could have some outdoor specialised varieties growing without cover, though I'd need to put wind netting up or something. Get trees and hedges growing round the edge of the plot for windbreaks and privacy. There's a life goal for retirement... :D

Panik has just been to Holland, did podcasts with a number of top Dutch seed companies and breeders. There's talks of going to the states and Canada to do more. I remember we were in Amsterdam, had a chat with the guy in Cannabis College, asked him about a project, he told us it was impossible to do in UK, and better move to Spain to do it (we had already pulled it off in the UK).

@Ch@ppers Ha, that doesn't surprise me. There's so much negative, defeatist attitude around outdoor UK growing, and a lot of it has become entrenched because nobody's really challenged it. That's why I admire RGSC so much, for raising a big two-finger salute to the "it can't be done" attitude, and doing it anyway.

Really glad to hear that @panik has been doing some podcasts, and hope to get to hear some of them. Would love to hear him on the Potcast. :yep:

I have seen some of the raw footage, it looks good, being edited at the moment, KC Brains, Simon from serious etc, I hope the Canadian and US one comes off :yinyang: everything is adapting and progressing in the grow game.

The way food prices are jumping up , we wilk be competing for spots with people trying to grow vegetables, in the short term.

Long term, the government will realise their is a way to reduce the impact of their bad decisions and gradually open the doors to the industries.

Probably cutting us out until last minute to secure their hegemony.

But I'll still be doing my thing in my own way with a dream of doing it legally.

Missed out on 8 growing seasons and I'm just focused on getting back to where I left off and raising my children.

And like the old days I'll be experimenting with everything until the end .

Nuff praise to the better eggs in this community for pushing it forward over the years . For posting their results and failures for the advancement of the game.

The guerilla growing game in the UK, how do you see it going next season, the season after, five... Ten years hence?I have seen it go and grow from a spade, a pair of boots, a book chapter on californian growing, and a few seeds from Afghanistan and a pack of sweet purple to drones, Google earth sat images, strimmer and augers, Internet websites connecting anyone nationwide and worldwide with knowledge and discussion, cameras sending pics in real time back to your phone from plots, teams of rippers, LEO and fellow growers wanting to steal your hard work and or imprison you for it,RGSC grew from a concept hatched over a coffee, it's done more for early-flowering UK growers than the Dutch seedbanks, Slippy buds is thinking of quitting the game and moving indoors, that's when you know changes are in the air, Slip did we interact on the original OG or the defunct UDG?Anyone see any future changes on the horizon?

you ask for uk.....

in holland...100 + plots are taken out by LE....with drone-cams and satelite and online cams.....at 100+ they will definately try to arrest the growers...and have done so in last 5 years...( even by just waiting for you to come out of the bush...they have your online pictures taken )

so i gues upto 40 is a good number per plot....( then they just empty your plot.. )

just make multiple plots....and with fems...you can keep the numbers down....

5 plots...2 for LE....1 for ripper.....2 for yourself :)

gg is an addiction :)

PS 12 YEARS AGO...A TOP GG GROWER QUIT. here..he was ripped of all his 10 plots.....of which even 5 brand new spots which he sawed....

thats was in the time of recession....so manny jobless people and old age ppl....were looking every where for a smoke...

even his seedplot was ripped...3 ladies full of seeds...regulars...

That’s one of my concerns, it becoming a bit like the Wild West with a lot more at it, think we’ll see a big police bust in the uk in the next 5 years. It’s not a big enough ‘problem’ to them at the minute but once big grows start getting discovered more regularly someone will inevitably get stung :police:

I have sat and watched an outdoor plot being raided twice, live, as it happened, they strip it like a biblical plague of locusts, and these were nice plots, oh yeah, and they take their trophy shots with the ladies :police:

Let's hope they stick to what they hear on whoTube and focus on motorway and railway sidings.

I just got on to these videos and nearly every one you can hear the cars doing 50+ along the asphalt.

Grower tutorials are also ripper tutorials. "Where and when to look" for the junior ripper

It is pretty crowded. In 5-10 years it'll be more crowded. If we don't have a government smart enough to start issuing high thc licenses (oddly, quite a few companies already have these- how is beyond me, possible tory chum links), it's time to stop GG. Either grow on your own back yard, or get a license and put up a security fence. Local strains, drones and larger crowds of growers are to blame, as much as prohibition itself pushing the price of a gram.

Until then carry on growing, especially those growers in Loughton with the purple garden hose, best put away those white jerry cans lads, can spot these from 400ft!! lol (don't worry though, your grow and bush hut are safe, I'm on a payback mission). :yep:

I stopped growing outdoors for a good few years, came back to it this year with a little 10 plant plot. Partly due to the electric prices and partly because I've missed growing outdoors.

A lot has changed in the years I've been away that's for sure. A few years back I never once came across anyone's plot but while I've been plot hunting this time round I came across 3 separate grows in one day... Not exactly subtle ones either, at least 2 of them were very obviously done by teenagers I would say. Mess and rubbish everywhere, empty balloon gas things all over the shop etc.

I'm lucky that I've never had problems with rippers in the past but having read some of the stories on here involving drones and shit I'm definitely alot more concerned about the lazy bastards than I have been in the past.

It's a jungle out there
