Decent LED for a 2X2 Tent

Hey all,

I'm in the market for a new light. Price is very important in this day and age but quality needs to come first! My max budget is £300 but I would rather spend half of that amount.

Here i am looking at lights that max out my budget assuming that I will get a better crop with higher end equipment. Im sure it'll make a slight difference but does spending that little bit extra really make such a big difference?

So I have a question .....

What LED would you buy on a £150 budget and  a £300 budget?

Sub £150 budget I would get my light a VIPARSPECTRA XS1000 100w light.

£249 budget I'd get a Lumatek ATS 300w

What size is the grow space? Ignore just noticed it was in the title

You can grow great bud in a 2x2 with 100w, not sure how much improvement to electric costs ratio gains your get from 300w light in a small space tho, probably a point of diminishing returns in a small grow space.

With LED it's hard to give a definitive output answer as light intensity pre watt can differ pre light.

Electricity cost isn't a huge concern great quality flower is. Most LED are not expensive to run and I'll only ever be running one.  Im sure if I had the 300w lumatek I wouldn't need more than 75% power. Surely by running your light at lower rates will increase its life span?

I did look at site sponsor and it said £249.99 but when you click on it the price changes to £339.99 lol. That is a standard price but I can find it for £300

I'd agree the 200w is a great option too.

Did you say you own the viparspectra xs1000? How do you get on with it?

Yes mate, I love the thing for the price, great build quality and great light output for 100w(UK version), I got it in a sale tho which I believe its on sale ATM on the big River. But if I had extra cash to spare I would go for a Lumatek 200w myself and then just turn it down to save some electric :yep:
