In the greenhouse...

I can almost smell them from here! They look bloody gorgeous.

I think you're right that getting them started in early May gives them the optimum conditions all round.

I've got a pack of the Living Soils Myco Boost but haven't started using it yet. Have you used it before? I'm still quite new to some of these amendments and have yet to figure out how they work.

@Black Venus I've only used their products once before for an indoor grow. But I struggled with my environment and mostly fucked it up  They were great for convenience because it's just water and a weekly top dress. I started with half the recommended amount.

I had some Myco Boost left over so figured I'd use it in flower on this grow to get the soil working and for the extra Cal/Mag and minerals.

Thanks @OldFord much appreciated.

Yes, she does seem to get that extra special attention. She's such a beautiful plant and a pleasure to grow. I can't wait for a sample, she smells wonderful!!

The Caramels have also been fairly straightforward to grow.  They're smaller than the Mandy, but look and smell lovely with plenty of resin...

I'll get some more pics up tomorrow :yep:

Ok small update.

Yesterday I noticed some dead leaves around the main cola of Mandarine. I thought that's fucking odd and started to open up the buds to have a check. Fucking bud rot. The buds were so dense I'm not surprised really.  I remember dripping some water on her a week or so ago, so I reckon that was the start of it. I've lost a bit, but I think I caught it early.

Anyway, Ive cut her head off and salvaged what I could from the top. I'll let her carry on for a week or two, then chop her. The Caramels are ok, but I'm keeping a close eye out...

Here she is after her head chop

The mould on Mandarine hasn't spread thank fuck, I caught it early and only lost a little. She's taken her head chop like a champ and continues to fatten up. Her buds are super sticky and she smells wonderful. She's one for the garden next year for sure.

The Caramels have fattened up well and smell lovely. The one the dog attacked is slightly lacking, which shows me that any sort of root disturbance with an auto is going to affect the final product. She's still ok just not as fat as she could be.

Im thinking two more weeks and Ill chop them.

I've definitely learned a few things this year and am already excited for next season lol

Nice one mate.   Almost time to taste them :)      Gutted about the spot of rot on the mandy , never seen it before and as you say its poss she got wet.

The Caramels are awesome if you leave them up a tad longer ,  very much a solo night time affair :)

Push them on and see how you go mate :yep:

Im taking 2 of my Mandys tomoz ,  the others the following week  , leaving the last wave due down with the fems late september.

Keep the updates & pics coming

@OldFord Much appreciated.  I was watering the tomatoes with the hose and got some water on her top.  It's the only thing I can think of because we've had some amazing weather and the greenhouse is well ventilated. Lesson learned.

Ok Mandy's getting the chop today roughly 10 weeks after flowering.

I'll take the advice and push the Caramel's for another couple of weeks and see how they get on. Can't wait for a Mandy sample she smells sweet as fuck :smokin:

Ah, sorry to hear about the bud rot. It is a fucker when that happens. Hopefully you nipped it in the bud, so to speak.

As you say, the dead leaves are usually the first telltale sign. A bud-leaf looking a bit sickly is another early warning – the leaf stalk hidden deep inside the bud is often (though not always) the first bit to go.

Yes it may well have been caused by getting water on it (which is so easily done, let's be honest) but sometimes it seems to be fairly random and is just one of those things. Anyway she looks fantastic with all the rest of her buds. Good luck with the chop and hopefully you'll still get a beautiful harvest. :)

Cream Mandarine is dry and in the jars. Pleased with the yield too! Cream caramel is still doing her thing, going to let her go a little longer....

That's an amazing growth structure you've got there – like a solid column of bud. Looking fantastic.
