This Years Offerings.

This year i having a shake up and trying some new contenders for outdoors , all new strains to me grow wise although i will be running my trusty Sweet Seeds strains as they have not failed me yet :yep:    Alongside the Sweets strains will be my trusty TH Seeds Strawberry Glue ,   Accompanied with some Subbies -  Wild Purps F2  &  SHD x BBG.

I also have a pair of  Sagarmatha Western Winds that will be subjected to some light dep,  been a long long time since i have run it and really fancied a go again - now at 7 wks old and looking awesome !

So,  the new contenders are all in 3's , hopefully find something worthy of a second run next year, be it GG or garden,  i tend to be a few seasons behind the current strains as i only grow outdoors.

This years contenders are -

TH Seeds -  French Macaron

TH Seeds -  Ocean Grown Cookies

Barneys Farm -  Cookies Kush

G13 - Double Black

G13 - C99

Humboldt - Choc Mint OG

Reserva Privada - Purple Wreck.

All were started very early March and thriving in the greenhouse,  enjoying the sun after a slow growth due to the colder temps,  the real shocker is that the Barneys is ahead of the game and looking fantastic.

I wont be doing GG runs this year due to finding my feet again after covid kicked my arse.    Once the frost has passed all the ladies will be kicked out the greenhouse and see how they handle the elements .... time will tell.   The Western Winds will be staying under glass until im ready to force her.

Heres hoping to a great sunny summer ,  good luck to all the outdoor guys & girls battling the elements :)

A quick update ,  today i shall mostly be repotting all the ladies into their final pots .... just in time for the sun kicking in :)

The Barneys Cookies Kush is still the strongest and biggest of all the ladies ..... even my Sweets & TH;s are behind them !??    Strange as all i see is Barnesy gear getting a slating & kicking for their supposed poor genetics, although most of the negativity leans towards potency & hermie issues , i suppose that pertains towards the later stages of the grow , time will tell.

The subbies SHD x BBG from @brock1 look & smell divine,  i ran these on a late grow last season and they romped home in under 85 days fully cooked and the smell was sublime alongside a wicked end product that walks all over most of the big brand stuff i had out.   Big love to the man for sharing his work.   3 in the garden now looking very nice :)

The TH French Macaron is bushy & dark green and the Strawberry Glue is bushy but slightly smaller -  i will say the Strawberry Glue could be of interest to those seeking lower odour for an outside run as over the years i have not had a single variant that has emitted any smell other than when manhandled or when the wind picks up and she rubs up.

The G13 Double Black & C99 both look like they are not happy in the greenhouse and may not make it to living under the great big light bulb in the sky , i will repot anyway and time will tell.    The last 3 runs of G13 i did ended in a brown furry mushy mess, should this happen again it will be my last run of G13 goodies.   Although i will say during the grow prior to them going bad they were really healthy and looked good, they just dont seem to be able to handle the elements.

The Sweets ladies are all healthy and in particular the Cream Mandarine is starting to smell divine and the end product for me when well cooked out is fantastic for an auto, the mouth watering Opal Fruits flavour and the effect is great.

The auto & fem SAD's are a staple choice along with Cream Caramel , all 3 strains seem to enjoy an outdoor run and handle the wetter times well.  Great end product too.

The Sweets Wild Rose, i ran this for the 1st time last year and she was a late harvest but the extra effort to get her home with a bit more time cooking out  proved to be very well worth the effort with a totally unique flavour unlike anything i have savoured before and the duration of the effect is something i have never had , the effect itself is a new experience also and as such i snapped up quite a few packs as she was going into last units on the Sweets site.    Well worth a run in my humble opinion.   I am a lightweight smoker so most of you guys may not find her strong lol    But for the unique flavour & taste experience its an eye opener.     Also she yielded a HUGE harvest of rock hard delight.

Time to get out in the sun and get busy :)      Pics up tomoz of how they are all getting on.

@OldFord I ran brock1’s shdxbbg last year as well, amazing plants, have tried to contact him via pm, but he doesn’t appear to have been here since December. Sincerely hope the guys alright, he was very knowledgeable and always happy to share it...

Could you give me a little bit of info regarding the strawberry glue please? Got a couple of seeds of your recommendation for greenhouse...

Cheers.

Hi Gimps ,  i was speaking to  Brock1 in December regarding a new cross and then went down with covid and im just getting back on here now.  He is a top bloke :)

Not good if hes not replying so hope he is ok , although he did say he wanted to spend a lot more time on his breeding, hopefully he's just a busy guy working his magic:yep:

The strawberry glue is a tough old girl , or it has been for me.   Through really wet and drier runs it has romped home by 1st or 2nd wk in september with ease, always a taste delight,

i found a few repetitive phenos some short others tall , huge yield to medium yields  but all taste great , a lot heavier hitter than i expected and all phenos exhibited very low odour.

I believe its a cross of diesel and glue.    I found it sat central in the head and a good body hit.   Its not let me down over numerous runs , all ladies completed and lost only a few nuggets over the years to rot.   I think its a great garden plant.

What you running ?

I’m hoping he’s busy in the poly tunnel too..

Thanks for the info regarding the strawberry glue, I had my best ever year in 2020, though it was as much about the weather as the genetics.

Am outdoor in the far west, so mould resistance is a top priority, in recent years have been looking more into land races for that reason, generations of selections and all that...Last years best (mould resistance) was Seedsmans blueberry,  Ace seeds Pakistan Chitral Kush, and Dutch passions Durban Poison.

Blueberry was gorgeous, as was the PCK, Durban was the jar I reached for last, a little underwhelming, though I only grow a few so it’s not a definitive review. This year, PCK, Red mandarin (Sweetseeds) based on the recommendation of a grower on here, Strawberry glue, that’s you, and Blueberry again, as it’s always a pleasure...

Good luck this year, glad to hear you’re recovering.

A quick update -   Firstly my apologies on the lack of pics ... i have a new pc and still trying to sort out the whole pics & apple dramas lol     I cant strip and rebuild engines blindfolded but cant load software onto a sodding pc :)

Anyway , the entire collection of G13 plants have keeled over , shrivelled up and died .... its the only breeders plants that have done so from the varied collection, G13 will not be run again.

The Western Winds looks wonderful and the smell is divine,  i will be devising & making  a cage to allow airflow whilst i subject her to light dep starting bank hol monday.

Barneys Cookies Kush is looking wonderful and still ahead of the others ,  very symmetrical and a nice dark green,  actually sad but quite fond of this little one :)

The RP Purple Wreck is tiny but healthy enough , not expecting big things but hopefully better than the GDP run i did.

TH French Macaron is lagging but hoping the sun will kick her along a bit, im a sucker for colours so im hoping she comes to fruition.

Dinafem OGC is another lagging behind but seems healthy , again hoping the sun works its magic.

The Sweets & Strawberry Glue's are all looking great with zero concerns or doubts :yep:

I was kindly offered some MWF from Alfemco's Amarillo-Slim , he read i missed out due to illness and sent me a pack .... over the moon as i badly wanted to try them but sold out by the time i was fit enough to get in touch,  i now have soaked 2 and  2 just popped up and although they will feature here they will have their own diary on the AlFemco section as a thank you gesture.  Highly appreciated gesture.  Big love !

I was also kindly offered a few RGS auto seeds from Panik ,  he kindly sent me 2 x  6 packs of  Auto Mazar & Auto Gelato .... again a huge thank you and again i will be running a diary in the RGS section to try thank him.   4 into soak and 4 healthy babies under the T5.    Huge thanks & bilg love !

Subbies ladies all doing well,  Wild Purps F2 ,  SHD x BBG  in particular looking good and the smell is so nice.

So the garden ... just as well its huge , is now slightly crammed with plants lol   prob a good thing the G13's keeled over.     Im sure i have missed updates on some but will rectify that soon.

All the best with the outdoor strive & battle against mother nature guys & girls ,  and pics WILL be up soon or the new pc will have a major accident.

I have tried 2 runs of 3 RP's GDP in the garden, both runs ended in early august in brown furry mush - i tried 4 locations to see if that helped, i tried various mediums, i tried various pot sizes and arrived at the conclusion its not ideally suited for UK outdoor life ..... in my own humble opinion.

I fancied the wreck after a gift of some hydro run Wreck that was rather nice,  we shall see how we go.

Im an old ford man through & through with blue blood :)    Mk1 & 2 Escorts being my fav toys,  big love for the pop's, 100e's , anything with a metal bumper ... although i do have a mk4 escort van currently undergoing a long winded resto & engine swap to an RS2000 16V engine on bike carbs.    Also in the process of importing a 300e Thames van for a full out & out drag racer on a twin blown V8 set up with a sniff of gas just for good measure :)    VW's , BMW , Merc, Rover, Mini, .... anything old but not a jap crap fan but i have to admit the engineering is well done, one of mothballed money makers is an AE86 and i am fond of that but its simply a far wiser investment that anything the banks could dream of offering :yep:

Always have classic metal for sale & always on the look out for the next resto.

Just got back from a big round trip to collect parts .... and the soddin slugs have had a field day :(

I have lost 3 x subbies Wild Purps f2 , an RGS auto Mazar , a Sweets SAD ...... i even had copious of copper tape around the middle & top of the pots along with large copper granules scattered across the surface of the soil and the commando fuckers still got my plants !

I have just dropped 3 x HSO Blue Dream and a few random freebie seeds to make up for the losses.    Fingers crossed.

The purple wrecks were straggling behind the others but upon inspection tonight they actually seem to be doing well , time will tell but as you say im quietly thinking it will end up like the GDP's.

I love yank tanks :)    I have come within seconds of buying an F-150 Bauer & F-150 Lightning but missed out on both to family members buying them.

I have had a few yank tanks over the years from Mercury's to the recent sale of my old GMC Typhoon .... it was mental but rather fragile if you abused it, i got to the stage i was afraid of breaking more bits so i sold her.   I will be procuring a 40's / 50's Ford F100 van soon for a special birthday treat to me ,    i have had posters, pictures and a fetish for one since i was young ... kind of my unicorn car :)    I want an ugly one to restore and put my stamp on it :yep:
