Openairbud
@delagdo thanks dude, last year was fun, I love the competition and camaraderie with it. Yes the Sweet Gelato has caught a few peoples eye this comp, let's hope it matches expectation Thanks @jadenugs I hope they stay that way Hi @Sweet Seeds-tommy thanks for popping in and for having me in this great contest (no chillies have shown yet, but the cannabis is doing well!) @EatonMess thanks! Still time to screw it up ha! Time for an update. It was 8 days yesterday since they were both showing and all seems to be well, if very slightly slow compared to last year. They will be ready for a pot up in a couple of days. I have been away for the weekend so they had their first full pot water before I left, with 2ml pl seaweed, and same again when i got back. Temps seem stable if a little low (24 ish. Will rectify) Some pics! Gelato couple of roots just poking through Honey Peach Honey Peach smells lovely already with a leaf rub. A good sign of things to come I hope

Openairbud
Thanks @Michael Luchóg for checking in Time for a potting up update! Last night I prepped my 6.5litre pots by firstly seiving my compost to remove big lumps, then adding 30ml of Ecothrive Charge to each pot, plus a dusting of neem. Finally after filling the pots with the mix, I dusted the ready made hole with mycorrhizal fungi. I then squashed the pots into the cupboard overnight to bring them up to temp. The plants had a water too with some seaweed.. Fast forward to tonight and both got potted up with another splash of water and seaweed and plonked back in their home. Both plants could have stayed in the small pots another day or so, but I tend to err on the earlier side with autos, nervous of stunting them. Sweet Gelato Auto not looking quite as happy as her sister.. Now let's see how they settle in. Gelato has some slight fading on the edges of leaves, I'm keeping a close eye. On a side note, chillies have started poking up Humidity is off the scale low as always for me, but now there is more compost in there and the plants are getting bigger that will pick up. Temp is between 24-27c That's all for now, stay safe Edited January 29, 2020 by Openairbud

Openairbud
@Punta Roja @jadenugs @SYZYGY Cheers guys yea they seem happy enough so far. I'd like to think the charge is helping them out while they fill the bigger pots. It's time for a quick update. Day 15 Both plants are growing well, they both had 750ml of seaweed solution on day 12am, then a litre each of the same last night, day 14. I wont expect to water now till maybe day 17. Temps are stable 24-26, humidity low! I will start bending them over in the next day or so.. some pics! Happy growing everyone!
Openairbud
Day 19 I've started some bending and have been adjusting ties and tucking leaves daily to allow side shoots to join the canopy. I'm aiming to keep both plants level with as many tops exposed to the light as I can. here is the start. Anchored the base of the main stem then bent top over the opposite way. So I'm not pulling at the roots. Honey Peach Sweet Gelato Both at day 16 am. I am planning to grow the plants in opposite directions to give them both equal space. From the top. Next day. Day 18 tied down any more branches that are trying to shoot up. Day 18 and lastly, today, day 19 Good growth since the last up date both plants are brushing out nicely, and both plants are showing pistils. They have both had 1.5litres of 2ml seaweed I think on day 17. Next water will be a full soak till runoff. I will be keeping busy re adjusting everything daily until the footprint is full, if they get that far! This has been made much easier by using bulldog clips to hold string to the pot. Really quick and easy to adjust. Thanks @jadenugs I gleaned that from your diary last year! Have a good and stony weekend all Edited February 7, 2020 by Openairbud

Openairbud
Yea makes it so easy dude, and I can add as many as I like really quickly Just a quickie, to remind myself they had a drink today of 2litres each with 2ml seaweed. Minimal runoff on both plants.
delagdo
Looking fantastic in the cupboard, very healthy and fast growth Looking at the roots and how the plants have grown since, I think you did the potting up at just the right time to help root development without slowing them down.
Openairbud
@delagdo thanks bud yea they seem happy enough, I think adding the charge to the final pots has helped them along too. Although it is strong stuff, I have a bit of tip burn on both plants and they only had 30ml in 6 litres of soil. My 2 are continuing to grow well, and are taking shape. They each have around 8 good tops and are showing pistils. I guess they will continue to stretch for another good few days yet. Its day 23. I have watered the lovely Honey Peach, will leave Sweet Gelato till the morning. Shes drinking that little bit slower.
