Not sure what's caused it tbh, I thought my environment was fairly dialled in.

 

ETA: had a good look over the rest and they all look fine. Will keep a close eye out but hopefully it's a one off

@seb88 easy seb, only just caught this diary! Smashing it so far I must say.

 

I had abit of a scare on week 3 of flower with my criticals. A whole branch like yours was covered in balls when I inspected further when I found a suspect. Also found 1 ball on 2 other plants which I picked off.. Litterally praying I've dodged a bullet with the 2 rogues. But the 1 plant had to come down, surrounding plants are enjoying the extra space mate so hopefully yours fill in the void. Take it easy buddy

Sorry to hear about the hermie, and fingers crossed for the others.

 

I've moved the front left plant a bit more central and have put a few yo-yos coming from the sides to spread the branches of the others out a bit, it's filled out quite nicely tbh

Morning

 

It's now day 21 of flower.

 

First I'll start off with a confession. After the Hermie I checked everything over to see if I'd messed anything up...

Turned off all the lights and got my head in the tent. Theres only a red LED lit up on my electric blanket thermostat!! This sits right next to the hermie'd plant...

I had some duct tape covering the led but I took it off a few weeks ago to raise the temp 1deg, but forgot to put it back on. Woops 

 

Not the end of the world because the other 3 are filling the space nicely, but what a numpty eh!

 

Moving on... 

The gorillas have now finished their stretch which is good as my light height is fully maxed out, the OGC's are still going but they seem to have slowed down a little.

I forgot to measure unfortunately and won't be back in there for another week while I go away.

 

I've just lollipopped them all. I removed every secondary shoot from the bottom 30-40%, and removed any weedy looking stems that don't look like they'll support much weight. This has thinned out the canopy giving the main stems some more breathing room.

Looking forward to seeing how these bulk up from here!

They've stretched but not as rapidly as the gorillas, although if the gorillas are a 'quick' strain there may still be some stretching to do. I know on my last grow one strain kept going well into week 5.

 

My LEDs are 3500k and I'm not sure whether having less reds than a 3000k extends the flowering period at all?

I was toying with adding some supplemental reds to finish them my grows off a little quicker but I'm happy with my results so far and not sure if adding reds would affect the overall yield.

That very well could have been the cause mate

 

As it only occurred on one plant let's keep our fingers crossed for plane sailing for the rest of this grow

 

The stretch is in full swing, let's hope it's slowing down then we will see a bud explosion

Hi all

 

It's now day 29 of flower

 

Just got back from my hols, had a mate looking after my plants and we've had a few issues...

So 2 days into my hol and I noticed my temp and humidity tracker app on my phone had shown it going offline. Thought the battery had probably died so didn't think much of it, but got a call off my mate to say the power had tripped in my house, causing all the sockets to cut out. So no extraction, lights etc for 16-18hours. The boiler also went off so temps got down as low as 13degC in the tent!

He fired them up again and all was good for a few hours but the same happened the next day. Turned out there was a loose plug which we think was the cause.

I've wired in some RCD sockets in the room so if it does trip again atleast I will still have extraction and heating. I'm going to fully look over all my wiring to make sure nothing else is amiss with lights etc.

 

So the plants have had two long sleeps with no extraction. Everything looks ok right now but obviously this has slowed things down a bit and I've probably lost some decent fattening up in the last week

Hopefully they are all on the mend now but I could have done without that stress...

 

I also found two unopened pollen sacks on the OGC that was next to the LED light that caused the gorilla to Hermie.

Since there were only two I've picked them off and I will monitor it closely from now. The rest of them look happy enough which is a surprise considering!

 

Anyway enough of the ballsups, here's some pics

Ocean Grown Cookies - these have caught up with the Gorillas height wise. I've only seen them once since getting back but there still may be a bit of stretching left. I might have to supercrop if there is as I'm running out of head room.

It's been a rollercoaster for sure. I thought I was going to lose them all at one point but glad we've got it sorted!

 

I've been checking them over every day but no other Hermie issues. It looks like it was just my dopey mistake leaving the led indicator light on....

 

So it's now the end of week 5 of flower (day 35)

 

Last week has been smooth sailing and they are all starting to put a bit of weight on. 

 

Gorillas - I've added some more yo-yo's to spread the 3 girls out to fill the space, a few other branches were starting to feel the weight and sag a bit so I've propped these up.

There's a nice bit of frost covering the buds and leaves now

 

 

Ocean Grown Cookies - the stretch is finally over and they are filling out a bit, they look like they are a week or so behind the gorillas. I still need to measure them all and give some final heights!

 

 

It's getting quite hard to get decent pics now the plants are so tall, but I'll try and borrow a DSLR for the remaining weeks and get some better quality bud shots.

The wideload seems to be doing its job and the buds are swelling up.

 

Gorillas - the buds look really dense and frosty now. There are a few orange hairs coming through but it looks like there's still a couple of weeks to finish them off.

I've had to add some more yo-yo's as they were all starting to dangle a bit

 

 

Ocean Grown Cookies - the buds are starting to get that cookie look about them. Small dense buds with chunky calyxes, can't wait to see what the final product looks like!

There's a couple of pheno's in here, some have a bit more of a sour d smell to them, the others have a sweeter undertone

We are now at the end of week 7 (day 49) of flower.

 

Gorillas - I've stopped feeding pk and gave started reducing down the A+B gradually.

I did go a bit hot with the pk at some point, they really don't need much!

I'm planning on chopping these down starting next thursday and into the weekend (day 58-61) although it looks like a couple are almost there now, the trichomes are looking fairly milky. Reckon they'll be good to leave until then @Dinafem-Mark ?

Got some nice frost on the one that looks almost there, buds look pretty dense too! 

 

 

Ocean Grown Cookies - still got a couple of weeks left on these I think, although they are taking shape. One has a little bit of purple coming through in the flower. 

Loving the look of these buds though, they are have a different look to them so there might be a few different flavours going on.

You should be fine for another 10 day's mate 

 

I'd keep an eye on those trichomes though. They could turn pretty fast but I'm confident 10 more day's will be prefect 

 

Those OGC flowers looks deadly mate

 

That ones definitely got the bag appeal and knockout punch

Hi

 

Been struggling to get on the site recently with my vpn so I'm a bit late with this update.

 

I've now chopped all 3 gorillas and I'm about to chop the first of the OGCs. The rest will getting chopped next weekend.

The gorillas have been an absolute pleasure to wet trim. There's a high flower to leaf ratio so they didn't take half as long as I'm used to
