flighty
Cheers @Dinafem-Mark it's nice to have a bit more time to browse the forum Potting up day tomorrow, should see a lot more lateral growth after that
flighty
Aarrrrggghhh late again It's gonna be a quick update too. So last Tuesday I potted up all the girls, nice easy job, into 1.5l round pots. I also watered them in with 4ml/l foundation... Here's some pics As you can see I also topped OG Cookies 1 as she was on her fourth node. Now they have been put into the veg area which is a bit cramped, but I'll move the other plants around when these need the space. I would like to tell you about the temp and humidity in there, but my spare hygrometer doesn't seem to be working best get on eBay for a new one. Next update should be on time on Thursday, with a bit (lot) more detail

flighty
Hey Mark, they really are taking off... But I need to show them down a bit or they'll run out of space! I need to veg them for at least another 5 weeks, I knew I should've waited longer before germing them I'll explain how I'm holding them back in the next update
Amnesia
Looking good and progressing nicely in here @flighty, i think you will need to get strict wth them though if you plan to veg for another 5 weeks or they will be monsters, have you considered a Scrog? All the best.
flighty
Hey @Amnesia believe me they are getting abused between low temps and nipping leaves off, they're hardly getting a chance to grow... But somehow they are. Shouldn't need a scrog, there'll be 5 plants in a 1 X 1.2 area and 450W of led light at full power. Also the following plants are a seed run, so I might be able to stack them in the veg area as soon as they're pollinated.
flighty
Here's another update... So as previously mentioned, I've been trying to hold these plants back a bit while I wait for other plants to finish (fem pollen is flying now ). What I've been doing is generally knocking them back any way I can... Temps have been as low as 13°C and I've been taking all the big fan leaves off. Other measures I may use is to take the top node off leaving me 2 and root pruning, which I do regularly to mother plants. Feeds have been with 3 or 4ml/l foundation, I'll probably start to add grow again this week to give them a boost in case I have to take the roots off. Pics. Since I took this pics last Thursday, I've taken quite a few more leaves off!

Dinafem-Mark
@flighty Have you thought about cloning then killing the bigger plants off? Ecessive measures but could work All the best Mark.. Edited December 10, 2019 by Dinafem-Mark
flighty
That's a good idea @Dinafem-Mark I might do that with the bigger quick gorilla. I don't think the others will too much of a problem
jadenugs
Looking good mate, nice and healthy Shame you have to hold them back but if you decide to root prune to keep them in those pots you could just keep cutting the tops back to the first node on each branch like you would a bonsai mother? Then let them go when you're ready.
flighty
@jadenugs I thought about doing something similar to that, but I'd lose the structure I'm aiming for. I think that'll be kept in reserve in case the root pruning etc doesn't work.
Intense Nutrients Matt
Doing great especially with holding them back brother Root structure looks great and the training and nipping back is keeping everything slowed down a treat Smart looking work mate Matt
flighty
Here's a quick update then... As you can guess, there's not a lot happening really which ideal for me. I've stopped using the foundation as that'll come back into play later on, now I'm using 2ml/l grow. So from what I've seen over this last week or so, I've come up with a plan. The structures of the plants is developing nicely, with not much upward growth... With that in mind, I'm going to hold them in these small pots as long as possible, focusing on getting a nice structure. When the big space becomes available, I'll go straight into 5l pots, keeping them today, then 10l a week before flowering, pushing them all the way. I think I should be able to do this fairly easily Here's some pics from yesterday that show the nice structure! I'll be doing a bit of tidying up, taking out all the lowers in the next few days and I've also got a new light from @diyleduk that needs to go in asap
