Finished my little pot noodle system today and here’s how it wentlarge.E83C0214-E565-4C30-A07F-8985714561B6.jpeglarge.6B14DB47-6B86-42CF-AA7B-7E44087DA3CC.jpegusing the ecothrive coco with its beneficial microbes has got me off to a cracking start. I measured out 1ltr of coco in a pot so I could determine ratios easier than working from the odd size of the king size pot noodle.

i weighed the biotab and worked out that I would need a piece 2.75g for my pot. Although at this stage I have decided against adding the biotab until I think the plant requires it. Instead I made a mix of my ownlarge.D1CEE882-332D-451B-9EAC-77ADE9D5352E.jpeglarge.B80D10A7-7DDF-467B-B915-C7E80D041AF3.jpeglarge.B6646651-4A68-4A3A-8EA2-76DBAE74E121.jpeglarge.5A646194-5FD1-4BDF-BFDB-444DDF6E9CC5.jpeg

i crushed 0.5g of the bio tab into powder and added a teaspoon of Epsom salts, a handful of earthworm castings with bat guano perlite and soil. Also adding an organic powdered root stim. It’s basically calcified seaweed

After I was happy with the mix I set out finishing the blumat dripper system

large.79867D30-C218-4A60-99DE-6FD948C2B00A.jpeglarge.6FD2FDC1-583C-4687-8470-94B72DD576C9.jpeglarge.680CB019-2BC2-41E7-9A40-834EE4EAC4C9.jpeglarge.5C27EB6E-A6FB-4D8E-9382-0DBF8CCFB445.jpeglarge.664DE0A6-2093-4350-8995-1680553DDE01.jpeglarge.55993C6A-18E6-4D6C-985B-784D7E99F973.jpeg

Filled the tank up checked for leaks and installed the ceramic blumat conelarge.2C757B51-B0B2-484A-9AF5-7D5240F47E6E.jpeg

making sure pressure was decent

large.0BCDDB78-2F7B-491C-B3A5-01FFB023EEC7.jpeg

Then dialled it in so it drips nice a keeps the medium perfectly  wet. This may take a few days to get spot on but gives it time for the coco mix to get going with its microbiology. Then later when then plants do get translated and they need the biotabs the 0.25g they require is small enough to fit thro one of the holes in to pot. Wish me luck peeps. Fingers crossed for a decent grow. Good luck to the rest of you taking part. Untill next time

Brilliant start  @crticalcontent , I like the set up idea with the Blumat ceramic cone feeder and the reservoir.

Plus the growing medium with all the extras you have weighed and mixed in, looks like the plant will be getting everything it needs to grow nice and healthy.

Just a thought - I wonder if you could insert a small plastic drinking straw or something similar into the medium at the top but to the side say, before you put your plant in and then when your ready to add the rest of the crushed biotab pour it down the tube and then remove the tube after ?

Best of luck with your pot noodle grow, I will be strapped in for this one :).

Here’s the little bubbas gifts so far, up to now they’ve been easy. Nice fresh seeds from the HSO team which  have made germination easy as you like. I know feed isn’t recommended this early on but I’ve been giving 0.25ml per liter of nitrozyme I love the stuff gets the roots going for it. Watering from the bottom and greens em up

nice little seeds. i use nitrozyme myself, or any other seaweed extract if cant get any.

as you say keeps them green. and full of vigor.

i be getting mine up n running now too. im still to find a couple of big pot noodles. im not giving up tho. lol

edit to add, pot them up now into the pot noodle tubs, with very little water, to help roots search for more water. :yinyang:
