zztopbudz Posted May 15, 2018 Author Share Posted May 15, 2018 Right , this Gorilla Girl is an absolute beauty of a grower. Another power grower has been gifted to my room I feel. She grows so well for my style. Look at her multi headed top, with no training whats so ever. Very much responded well to the bigger pot and timed feeds. She just loves it and will be flowered in a week or so. I want to train her on to that beam, as well as onto the ceiling. Everything to the left will be covered with bud at the end , like within an igloo kind of thing. The coming week I have switched off the 400 and put in the 600 for a week of hard-core vegging and then I'm a flippin them. From the side I'm so impressed how quick she has vegged and responded to being rushed through her young life. I look forwards to working with her clones in future grows. As much of that white left wall as they can cover in the next 7 days with 50 percent more light . Gorilla Girl veges like a champ it has to be said. She chucks out some huge ole fans in veg . Multi tipped and she is covering her space in that corner really well. Well ready to be flowered I feel. Considering how quick she has vegged since I popped her she is pure quality. So a bit more training and I have sort of opened her up a bit and used the feed pipe to attach a third or so of the plant to. Also a bit of a defoil to expose all them budsites. That is it for vegging on this girl now. The flip has commenced and flowering is triggered. 2 weeks of stretchy veg growth and as soon as I start to see multi pistils , I will add the cmh with the 600 . She has reached the roof in places. On the roof here , not a problem. Filling out that side bit nicely. Last pic before I did a bit of training. I just pulled a few branches back to the wall. Also a little bit of a defoil and now for week 2. I think she will finish stretching and start budding this week. She will flower at a nice height and has multiple budsites. zztopbudz Posted June 7, 2018 Author Share Posted June 7, 2018 So 2 weeks of flowering done and dusted. What a beauty of a plant this Gorilla Girl is. I think she has just about stopped stretching. She has started Crowning all over the show and lets say the stretch has slowed right down if not stopped. Pistils are just starting to come. I expect in the coming week it will all be pistil development . Generally speaking id guess she hasn't stretched by a half again. But vertical side lighting I find does really inhibit the stretch anyway compared to lighting from above. Below you can see the intermodal gap, not bad and I really feel the buds will all be fat and join up into lovely colas on this girl. The plant has spaced herself out nicely and I have colas from the back to the front . After this last update I did a little defoil and tied some of the larger ones back to the wall. But generally for my style she is perfect, or is adapting to vertical growing perfectly. More at 3 weeks of flowering in just a few days as this update was late. Sunday (now Thurs) will be 3 weeks and I reckon we are gonna see some new buds coming all over the shop. over and out zz 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I started by reading vertical grow with a 40w bulb in the middle and was thinking to myself "that is not enough light", then as I continued saw that you are changing the bulbs to higher ratings......phew haha Vertical grows are all new on me, I see a few doing them but will continue to spectate and learn. Yeh I start off with a 250mh while small clones or seedlings, then after a few weeks I fire up the 400w hps and veg for a couple of months. Then I flower with a 600 for first 2 weeks and then add the 315cmh in with the 600. That's where I am now. 3 weeks in and I'm guessing gonna be a fat harvest. I see u got cream 47 on the go. Mine is very viney and sat looking. Lovely buds tho, and a well creamy smoke. Very pretty plant when she finishes her buds off. Good luck Mate. She has stopped stretching most def now and this third week she has been chucking out them pistils. This pic Gorilla Girl is to the left near the pipe. The right side is Sensi Star. I have begun to train the tallest few of Gorilla Girl to the left to join with her opposite counterpart on the other side Sweet Amnesia Haze. Normally the bulb is hanging right in front of this bit. I think come the end the filter will be semi covered. She is budding properly now and will swell lovely . There is good penetration from the 600 that goes right back to the wall. Plenty of colas off her . She looks like she will be fat as well. 3 weeks done and dusted . This girl is thickening daily. zztopbudz Posted June 17, 2018 Author Share Posted June 17, 2018 Righto people here we go 4 weeks of flowering and I really couldn't be happier with this strain Gorilla Girl. She is probably the most advanced out of all the flowering plants. Maybe Sensi Star is equal to her in the budding stakes. Already fat and expanding each day. Multiple colas all over the show. Ive got only a few tall colas off her but everything is getting light. Ive spread her out and trying to use every bit of space. These ones are secured under and to the filter. This is obviously with the vertical bulbs removed for the pics. The beauty of vertical growing is these buds are no more than about 4 to 6 inches from the bulbs . Of course the heat is being instantly pulled out by the filter. Im happy with the spacing and height they are flowering. The colas at the back are just as thick as the ones in the front. These buds on the filter are already nearly golf ball size and dense as fuck. I am trying to space them as I go and they fatten up , but generally the plant is so user friendly lol, that she does it herself. Back with the bubs in place and u can maybe see how near the plants actually are to the bulbs. Lovely budding for 4 weeks . Colas are joining themselves up lovely. She is already sticky and covered in resin. Also im smelling and amazing blast of old skool sherbet from her when she is squeezed. Just like the old tubes things u got with a liquorice stick in it . Bloody beautiful plant Cant wait to grow her again and again. Pure quality , at the moment I have from sweet seeds, on the go, Mohan Ram, Cream 47 , Green Poison , Sweet Amnesia Haze, and Gorilla Girl. Gorilla Girl could be the best of the bunch the way she is performing. Maybe I struck lucky with a special pheno but I suspect its just quality genetics. I was a bit of an idiot and left the greenhouse door closed and left them to bake in the sun leading to me arriving home after a week away to lots of brown candy floss plants Still have the huge Blow Mind autos going strong though and look fantastic. S.A.D is heavy duty, my fav is Cream Mandarin, Blow Mind are nig ass producers, Cream Caramel is lush, Botafumerous is lovely roo. I did Sad and Black jack and they were pure quality . I really want to try there cream mandarin and especially the one I think I will really love is there cream caramel. I will just have to win their monthly photo competition with one of my flowering strains and win a couple of packets lol. zztopbudz Posted June 24, 2018 Author Share Posted June 24, 2018 Morning all. Im now at the 5 weeks point and looking to go 10, maybe 9. Very very happy with this girl. She is swelling daily and has an amazing density to her. I think she will be very fat come the end and is already sticky and smelling sweet . Here is where she lives on the immediate left of the bulb. Only inches from the bulbs in some places but it always amazes me how near they can get to a vertical bare bulb, compared to horizontal under a reflector which in 1.3 m height at the apex of the roof is no fun lol. Just as the plants morning (my night) starts off with the cmh first then an hour later its joined by the 600. The way these grow I could happily do a room full of these. I could run a whole room of these girls, I cant find fault. She just keeps on swelling and packing on the resin.
