Week 17

Time flies when your having fun. The Ducks are continuing to fill out and are flowering well. Upped the bloom to 3ml per litre with 2ml of grow for good measure. They are big hungry girls. Thankfully we've seen a return of some good weather, much needed and on a bank holiday as well. Miracles do happen.

@Cainedbutablecheers mate they are looking ok. They were very hungry when I got back from being away, they seemed to have recovered well enough.

Smell wise they are not too bad. They were noticably pongier during veg. However, one of them is leaning towards a green pheno, whereas the other two are showing signs of purpling. The green one deffo smells a lot more. Had the patio doors open and kept catching a whiff.

Week 18

Things are progressing nicely with the ducks. Still feeding them 3ml of bloom and gave them a little seaweed extract this week.

Came home today to find the main stem had split in two on one of the plants . Strapped it up and taped it.

Doesn't seem to have caused too many problems. Fingers crossed.

Week 20

The weather has battered the plants over the last couple of weeks with heavy rain and high winds. Despite that they are progressing well enough, no casualties so far. I've had to tie them up to stop the branches bending almost double in the wet and to stop them blowing over as they are pretty top heavy now.

Duck 1

Duck 1 smells quite nice however ducks 2 and 3 have literally no smell whatsoever even if stick your face right in them.

Nice!! That purple duck looks nearly identical to the one I grew out last season. Do you find it has a very light odour....i found mine smelt of limes, but a light odour, not strong and didnt carry through the air far at all.

Ahh just noticed the last line about the lack of smell. Hows the crystal on them forming? Looks a bit trichome light on the purple....mine was too....the very last few weeks it all came together for me and in the end it turned into a fine specimen.

@Cainedbutablecheers mate. They have been a joy to grow and have taken some abuse along the way. However, the fat lady ain't sung yet. :yep:

@912GreenSkellthese sound very similar to your description. The two purple ones honestly have no smell at all. If you push your nose right into the bud you can just about make out a slight fragrant smell. There aren't many trichomes formed as yet but up close you can make out a few starting. The greener one deffo smells a lot nicer and has a fair few more trichs.

When did yours finish if you don't mind me asking? Also did you have any problems with mold as I can't see these finishing properly till well into October. The buds, especially on the purple ones, are very leafy and dense, which I can see being a problem if they fatten up.

Cheers

Mine finished around october 15th at the 45th N in cannada. About 5 weeks into flower i was worried that the pot was going to suck with so little formed trichomes, but then they came in strong waves. Mine had very little mold and it was a fairly rainy season last fall. Dealt with the damp no problem here. I have decided i wont grow the variety again though...she was the lowest producer in the garden for me. The smell on the cure was decent, but still light. Initially i found the buzz to be a very racy uphigh, but after a month of so in the jars it mellowed out a ton and turned into a nice uphigh.

@912GreenSkell:ohmygod: kudos to you mate that looks lovely. That's a beast of a plant. If that was your poorest yielder then I would hate to be the poor fucker trimming the biggest. If mine look half as good as that when finished I'll be well happy. Hats off to you mate

Yeah i feel like a poor fucker indeed!! Last season i trimmed solo for 10-14 hours a days for 30 days straight to get my 8 plants done...pure torture!

Best yield last season a a 64oz dry DP Blueberry. That duck was 30oz dry

Wow, just wow. You sir are a machine. That's a full time job right there those plants must have been huge. I would be a jibbering wreck by the end of that. :yep:
