Sci73
@Irishgirl Good luck with the GGrow. I've always liked the idea of doing one, but my loft is the closest I've gotten living in a town centre. Looking forward to seeing your plot in action. ATB Sci.
stu914
@Irishgirl Good luck with your new adventure with your new seeds in a new place...... I wouldn't invite too many to 'bare with me' though as that's likely to attract the wrong sort, especially if you are out in the bushes....... Whatever, I'll be keeping an eye on you.......

Irishgirl
Well I have been busy over the last few days like many of u GG'S preparing ye'r plots. By God, it hasn't been easy & that's 4 sure. I take my hat off to all GG'S with all da works you put into this GG'ING. I only have 13 holes dug & it was tuff . I will be using 12 holes out of the 13 as one was water logged so I abandoned it . The digging begins . One of 13 holes . Water logged hole, left it & dug another in a drier area of da plot.
Irishgirl
OK, so I thought I would interface some if the materials & amendments I hope 2 b using through the grow. Let's start at the beginning & work our way through....... Some tyers I collected throughout da year. I will be inserting these into the holes in dug with the intention of keep the roots warm. Rotten manure Organic soil Organic Living soil worm cast I must admit I found all of the above difficult to lure to the new pot luck plot .

Irishgirl
As you can tell, I love the picture theory thing . I like 2 b able to show what I'm doing as I explain things as clearly as I can as I am on this learning herb journey & I want ye to be able to walk on my path with me for da support etc . I nearly 4got this . There is a lovely running stream along the new pot luck plot . Sitting by the stream & listening to da birds sing is so relaxing & peaceful, tranquillity . I love da feeling here in the new pot luck plot. I just hope the plants will be as happy as I feel here . Irishgirl
Well as you can c, I managed to get the materials etc 2 da new pot luck plot . I mixed the native soil with rotten Farm manure, organic compost, bone meal, fbb, malted barley powder, lime, bat shit & compost maker. I mixed it in well & filled all 12 holes with it. I then topped up each hole with organic compost . Each hole topped up with organic compost OK so, their beds are made up now, hoping it will be warm & toasty, but not too hot for when they are ready 2 b planted out, hopefully in approx 4 weeks but correct me if I'm incorrect with this. Well that's my update for now so until again stay safe & happy GG'ING .

Degsy
Can I ask , where do you 'collect' your tyres from throughout the year ? I'm imagining you just spotting them abandoned by the side of the road and stopping to pick them up Looking great though
