Thank you for such a detailed description of what you are doing and picture update very much appreciated. .

Things look to be progressing very well and this is a technique that I have never seen or tried so I'll be checking back on each update :)

Keep up the great work

Cheers Mark.

You will love a bit of vertical lol.

Anyway here they are a week later. Gonna be flipped this weekend.

Growing lovely, remember pheno 1 on the left, slightly leggier. Pheno 3 on the right, slightly less leggy.

Getting some big fat leaves on them.

And on the right

Here they are peaking through the gap in the rest of the plants. gallery_16058_10277_265777.jpggallery_16058_10277_257401.jpggallery_16058_10277_193579.jpg

I think I'm gonna have some tying to do on these girls in the next few weeks. Flowering the weekend, all being well.

Cheers

This is a totally different type of growing which I must say does intrigue me as it is a tech that I have never tried. From the pictures they look great. Very nice healthy green and some really nice veg growth :) Nice job!

I will surely be watching this thread with great interest :). Keep up the great work and thank you for the picture update very much appreciated.

All the best

  • 2 weeks later...

Hello mark.

Yes there is a whole lot of information regarding vertical growing.

For people with space issues it is a real godsend.

It was this picture that hooked me.gallery_16058_10277_57132.gif

So this was them 3 days after the last pics.

They were flipped to 12/12 directly after.

Ignore the yellow look it's just the flash messing with the diamond miylar.

The right side pheno 3, not as stretchy as her sister.

Defo tall enough to flower. gallery_16058_10277_310016.jpggallery_16058_10277_440036.jpg

Here is a few canopy shots.

I have 8 plants in there.

The amnesia kushes are directly back centre, behind the black chain, on either side.

They have lovely big leaves, very strong growers. gallery_16058_10277_551325.jpggallery_16058_10277_357383.jpg

During their first week of flowering, I had to move the drobe to a new position to enable me to begin building 2 new grow rooms.

Totally designed for max vertical growing.

The final evolution.

Anyway on the right pheno 3.gallery_16058_10277_23903.jpggallery_16058_10277_265829.jpg

This one has stretched, but it's manageable, about the same rate as the others.

She has had a few shoots tied to the screen.

The left side pheno 1, had stretched beyond the light.

She needed a bit more tying and training sideways till the stretch is over. gallery_16058_10277_467168.jpg

You see below the main trunk has been trained into a right angle to the right.

Behind a shoot that has shot up, typical of this pheno. All shoots now tied back down onto the screen. gallery_16058_10277_114823.jpggallery_16058_10277_275078.jpggallery_16058_10277_27011.jpggallery_16058_10277_27012.jpg

So that was one week of flowering, this weekend will be end of week 2.

Will update you then.

No problems yet touch wood.

No fresh sign of any bugs, but spraying neem oil every three days now, and got lots of yellow sticky traps about. Ain't caught anything in a good while.

Oh and the bottom bulb has been upgraded to a 250w from a 150w.

One of the beauties of vertical growing is the easy heat dispersal. Another 100 watts added to a vertical and no increase in Temps.

I'm expecting all that lower stuff to be heavy with bud.

Also as an experiment if you like, the bottom one is metal halide and the top hps.

I wanna see how the different lights effect resin.

That's it for now.

Check my signature link if you wanna see how the rest of my drobe rolls.

Thank you so much for this great detailed picture update and thank you for all the information I will certainly give it a good read.

This method is very intriguing to me so thank you for bringing me upto date on this method. As said before I recall the colloseum system in the early 2000,s but since then not herd much about vertical growing. Super interesting :)

All the best

Cheers Mark

Hope you enjoy it, bit different I know.

Righto, end of the second week.

Still on grow nutes.

I'm going to start introducing a bit of bloom this week.

I think the stretch may have slowed, I don't think it's stopped, but you can now see the beginnings of colas. gallery_16058_10277_124085.jpggallery_16058_10277_427291.jpggallery_16058_10277_221401.jpggallery_16058_10277_427355.jpg

Here you can see the big dominant shoot that I trained sideways, it has now began growing new budsights all the way along it. gallery_16058_10277_301721.jpggallery_16058_10277_74694.jpggallery_16058_10277_303407.jpg

Just a couple of canopy shots.

Generally the stretch is slowed.

I may have to tie the odd one down later on. gallery_16058_10277_429603.jpg

Can you imagine the doughnut of weed in 10 weeks time.

gallery_16058_10277_155095.jpg

That's it for another week.
