zztopbudz
Thank you to the good folks at Dinafem for letting me test some new seeds for a grow diary. I hope I can do them justice. They will be grown in coco in my drobe in a vertical style.

zztopbudz
So after they turned up I decided to germ 3. I have only room in my drobe to run 2 plants so I did three and will select the 2 strongest to flower. I like to soak them for a few days till at least they have spit. I find this the best way to weed out non viable seeds as they will never normally sink and will never split. So day 1 into some water in a little pot tray. After a few hours of soaking and me pushing them under water with a pencil, they eventually became neutrally buoyant, a good sign. It means they have taken on water and the process of new life has began. The next day 24 hours later Shell has split, and they have sunk to the bottom. Hooray we have life. 48 hours The little tap root is out.
zztopbudz
Normally I would leave them another day or 2. Till the tap root is right out of the seed shell. This time I was in a hurry to get them into the coco. In some 3 inch pots of coco, under a 250 watt metal halide.
zztopbudz
3 days later, up they popped. The middle one I had to give a little helping hand to as it's shell wasn't off properly. I've lost seeds to decapitation because the shell hasn't come off properly. That's why I think the long soak is perfect, because if you soak long enough the shell comes off in the water. They all you have to do is yet the tap root into the medium without breaking it.
zztopbudz
This is my veg room, a converted ikea table/desk. Main cooltube is a 250, second one on the right is a 150. Both metal halide. This is where I've tucked them for now. Right under the 250. Not a week old yet, more to come. Cheers Zz

zztopbudz
So we are at 8 days today. I potted them up after 5 days because them tiny pots terrify me that they will dry out, as sometimes I can't get in every day. So I put them in 1 litre pots of coco. On about 2 mil of grow and 2 mil of rootstym. The largest one is about as wide as my hand I guess. All well.
