Seriously planning grow room upgrades. Out of the drobe and I to, 2 identical rooms 1.25 wide by deep by height. Perfect height to bring the vertical to the next level. Gonna semi stealth it, into a workbench. Maybe get another grow or 2 out of this drobe. Zz

zztopbudz
So here they are, 4 weeks since they sprouted. Been topped once, then pinched out on all the growing tips. This is the pheno 3, they both have the same gangly wannabe sativa going on.. The topping slowed them down briefly.
zztopbudz
And the other pheno no 1. Looking much the same but one of them really has more potential to wanna stretch than the other. Really strong good growth, gonna keep pinching out every tip for the next week. I want as many shoots on my plant as possible, so this early veg is all about that for me, forcing the plant to keep creating new shoots by tricking it into thinking it's damaged and needs to make more.
Dinafem-Mark
Can I ask what lighting are they under at the moment. They look to becoming along well. They could Imo benefit from being potted up within the next 2 week. This will give the root zone a lot more room. Thank you for the picture update very much appreciated and always nice to see a grow being done different than the norm. Nice job. All the best D-M. noobiegrower
Very interesting. Why choose vertical
Dinafem-Mark
At a guess I would say head room? Seen some great vertical grows over the years Can remember about 10 years ago a vertical stacker system. I think it was called the coliseum? zztopbudz
Cheers Mark. They are under a 250w metal halide in veg on 24/0. They had just been potted up in the last pics. Those pots are 3.5l only. They are gonna stay in them till The end. 3.5l in Coco goes a long way. Vertical growing has lots of benefits. Not needing much headroom is one of them. The potential for a greater growing area and therefore a greater yield is another big bonus. I'm still testing to be honest. Zz Next update coming soon. zztopbudz
Hello all. Been busy and heavily stoned . Anyway here they are a couple of weeks later. Much pinching and topping. You can see the results of the pinching out. It barely slows this one. And the other pheno.
zztopbudz
I've had issues in veg with root aphids and generally too big plants for the veg room. Miss timed is all. So they could have looked better. So a week ago I harvested and was ready to fit the next generation of plants in. I grow vertical style, so the plants grow around the bulb. In the main drobe they go. This is the layout of my drobe this grow. 8 plants around a 400 and a 150w soon to be a 250w. As you can see they are bang in the middle of the drobe at the back, nearest the bulb.
zztopbudz
Here us the room directly after transplant from veg to flowering drobe. All looking a bit rough. Remember as you look at it. The amnesia Kush 2 phenos are at the back on either side of the bulb. Pheno 1 on the left, pheno 3 on the right. I thought a good central position for pics. Here after a few days, nice bit of green. Behind the yellow fly paper stuff is the pheno 3
zztopbudz
Just to the left of the fan I have pheno 1. A few days later under the big lights. Other pheno, a few days later.
zztopbudz
This is fed by drippers. 8 lines, following the Saints thread. A cheapo bin holds 60 litres, being fed every 6 hours about 3 mins at the moment. This gives me about a week before I have to refil the res. Freedom , can't do daily handwatering.
zztopbudz
Here they are 4 days later. That is one week under the larger lights. Doing well. On the right side. Pheno 3 On the left side, slightly thinner leaves. Pheno 1 That was as recent as 2 days ago. I'm really happy with the growth from them. Good strong growth. They are approximately 2 months from seed now. I'm planning to give them another week of 20/4 veg and flip them the weekend coming. I think I may have a good bit of stretch on these. I'm well equipped to manage that if need be by training tall stems, horizontally around the cage. The fun is just beginning. More in a week.
