It's been a week in flower now, so lets have a gander at the girls... Not much change in the size of these babies this week? maybe I've maxed them out growth wise? They are heavy indica and they've been vegging for a long time now.. pots are full of rootays. Def a 3 pot strain this Afgooey! Some better shots of the individual plants, they haven't had any trimming this week, just the odd fan leaf plucked. At week 2 sometime I will clear under the net again. Many a site forming up.. lovely to see! Checking that root system out yeah? heavy! Looking slightly brownish but they are healthy. I think its maybe the age or the nutes staining? It's not worrying me though. One thing I did notice is a bit of foam in the pots this week.. the water was quite low so could be that? any ideas? I've not seen that before. Will swap out the res this week as I make the change to flowering nutes. See ya next week! I opened the tent on Wed to see the stretch and buddage has already began! they pushed up the centre of the nets a bit.They have been off my E.C scale a few days this week, the E.C was peak at 1.8 after I topped up, I left it but they drunk the juice so quickly they concentrated it.. and I missed it.I WAS warned... they must have been 2.0+ seem to be absolutely fine though. I brought the E.C down a touch to be safe.I haven't had a chance to upload pics since wed.. so I'm a couple of days late with the update... but these are exactly 2 weeks old here. You can clearly see how much weight they have put on from how I left them last week.. these girls are fuckin' unstoppable Something drastic needed to be done... You get me? Right that's it now.. no more trimming or tucking left to do! I will leave them be now... they are free to stretch! There should be some serious nugs judging by the stems.. looking forward to seeing them flourish. From what I understood with DWC, if the EC rises, the girls are taking water over nute (or even putting nute back into the res), so you should maybe drop the EC a little? I over did it a bit on the last top up and just left it, as I was rushing.. they gulped it down and it spiked the E.C.They were already maxed out at 1.7, They took it like champs though. Have dropped it back to normal now, and alls going good. It makes you a lazy grower I just keep forgetting about them between fill ups every time I DO check on them P.H is good and food levels fine too. (apart from last weeks hiccup) the system runs itself. Remember I'm not using a water res this time either, so next time should be keeping the water at a more higher level also. Filling and emptying is easy... straight out the header tank!It will be even simpler to fill with a long hose pipe fitted to tap... but for now, just connecting a hose to the fitted pump and emptying into a bucket is working for me!I'm really looking forward to next time... header outside, 3 plants, lower scrog, chiller. etc. etc 5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The system is very well built, simply put together and very durable, I'm extremely happy with it. Yeah the electric is off the chart mate... not good opening the last bill as i had them on 24 hours a while back :/ nearly got strung up by the missis. SKELE-TORO Posted February 13, 2015 Author Share Posted February 13, 2015 (edited) WEEK 3 FLOWER: E.C 1.7 P.H 6.1 Yo Yo how's it going people, this is where it starts getting interesting.. things are advancing rapidly and nuggets are on the way!They have been left to get on with it really after that last hack back and I also haven't added any H202 for a couple of weeks now, after running out... I've not noticed any difference apart from a more noticeable (composty) smell from the roots.. nothing that worried me at all. Once again they've exploded back to their preferred size... only this time they are free from my abuse. They are looking very healthy to me, a very nice green to them which doesn't really come through on the photos, and it seems like I got them on the right level munch. Nuggs are forming everywhere and I'm very happy so far with the outcome. Here's some of that good good.I did go back and remove a few fan leaves that were covering up budsites from that last picture. UH OH.... Someones addicted to chewing the leaves!!! By the looks of that im gonna struggle with the 8 pot Yea man they just bounce back.. the lower stems are ridiculously big now, like trees. Did you say your going with an 8x55L in 2.4m tent? I did veg for much longer than planned this time though.. next time I reckon 4 weeks will do it fine... you on the other hand are gonna need a lot less than that.
