Oldpink
*EDIT* see page 2 for more info OP this is how i solved mine, cheap and easy, the first thing to do is mark a 3" circle on top of your lamp and drill it full of hole's (the more the better) and mount a 4" computer fan over the hole's and screw it to the metal reflector make sure it's sucking air out not blowing in a glass shield is very usefull if you use this method the pic's will explain the rest hope this help's Edited September 15, 2003 by Oldpink
Oldpink
and add a 4" extractor to suck the warm air out the room most of the stuff needed is available at B&Q (ducting, fan's etc) the 4" fan's are available from Maplin's, Tandy or your local computer repair shop should be able to help you this setup can drop 15 - 20 deg off the temp's in my growroom with the glass shield's installed cost for the fan's, duct's and glass was about £80 all in glass £8 per lamp (glass bought from fastlight) duct £6 per 3M (B&Q) fan £ 16 (B&Q) OP

hashleyf
Am i right in thinking that the fan needs to be blowing air into the light area? Not sucking the hot air out? Ive got a little confused easily done
