wildbill
Noticed that Dutch Passion have a new strain called Mekong High They have used 25% indica, but say the genes are from Laos/Vietnam. Also has red/purple colouration & an "up high". A total shot in the dark, but it caught my fancy anyway. Being dp they are only selling fems. namkha
hey Bill yeh, I noticed the Mekong High 99% sure the landrace portion of it is from the same basic region - i.e. the narrow Mekong sub-region of Lao that borders Isaan on the west and Vietnam on the east... who knows where the 25% indica is from, or what it is, probably one of the potent Northern Lights clones
Thai Stick
Digging up this old thread that i stumbled upon by accident. I have managed to source some Red Thai Squirrel Tail seeds..... 5-6 month flowering time apparently.... In all my years, never some across a red stemmed sativa. Will be running her outdoors once the rainy season starts to come to an end.

BASStard
Zomia Collective have eight or nine Thai strains including a Tanaosri Red Star and a Squirrel and Tiger Tail. Would love to grow some of these but will never get the chance in the UK, so reading about them will have to do. zomiacannabisco/com

Are you referring to "red string" compressed, that when you grew out the seeds had red flowers and stems? 6 hours ago, BASStard said: Zomia Collective have eight or nine Thai strains including a Tanaosri Red Star and a Squirrel and Tiger Tail. Will have to drop them a msg and see whats what. Form what i gather, most of their seeds are landrace collected at source, with a few that they have crossed themselves?

Aye, the manipuri is a landrace selected by Metei tribespeople who live in India just over the border of Burma, they value the red phenotypes which have red sap. The plants are full sativa like Thai landraces.

Yeah they all as seem to be landrace or local ibl's. No good for Europe but could be fun for you. Worth a read all the same as there is some good background info, if it accurate. No, the flowers had a red hue and was superb quality only lightly seeded and it came in large flats maybe a inch thick. Yes the seed when grown turned red and was oct/nov for the males. was some of the first herb we ever grew and we smoked it..
