Recommendations for soil and Nutrients

I just have mine as high as I can get it (it's in the loft) Sometimes plants can grow right up by it and I'll have no bother, others really don't like it and need a bit of Lst even if they are no where near, it really seems to depend on genetics. I do perpetual growing so there's no even canopies for me. I just let them get on with it, if I see the down turned leaves then I'll bend them or if that's impossible I have turned the dimmer down on a couple of occasions.
