What ye reckon? :)

They're cheaper than Air-pots & use a similar principle. Fabric pouches can be cheap too, harder to clean I guess, but currently my weapon of choice.

Yeah. I was seeing they offered air to the roots. Sounds nice.

Moot, for now. I realised ~ getting nowhere, trying to get anything proper, off line, I realised I have these pouch things. And, last night, I read a random article that said they were 'best' for coir.

One last barrier gone :D

Yes. I currently grow in Coir but I have used them for compost and they work fine.

Rinse them out in plain water when you are done. Dry them, rub them together & kick them around your yard to get the bits out.

Aaaah, Right! :D I'd read about roots, in passing, 'Passing through'.

Think they referred to the process as 'Air Cropping'? Some bloody thing, anyway. Where by the roots sort of keep themselves in order by coming through. Seeing the light. Going back in and doing the right, root thing :)

I'll have to get back to that article. Can't learn 'Too much'. Way things are developing too; I'd Hope to have sent off for the very last bits, by the end of this week :yep:

No lol

The root tips die when they reach air, hence the term air pruning. Then the root develops branches and goes looking for nutrients and water elsewhere. This prevents the roots from circling the outside of the pot.

It's very similar to topping a plant, when you cut the growing tip off the side shoots will start growing and the same thing happens below the surface.
