The first of the troop has been given a bath . The Pink Cherry Pie

Was going to do 3 of these , but the first one sunk , so I soaked 4 to be sure.

The rest of the troop will be the

Fast Lemon Cake

Super#61

Erdpurpz

Thanks to @panik and RGSC for the chance to grow some of their beans again . Basically giving out free weed . DIY.

I didn't manage to do them justice last year and hope to redeem myself .

Best of luck to all the growers , but we all won anyway just with the beans . :yinyang:

3 good strains mate. Last year mine went out late and got attacked by rabbits.. Had to dig them up and move them and they handled the attack and relocation better then I'd expected . Beautiful colours too

4/4 Pink Cherry Pie all showing nice tap roots. Going into pots tomorrow .:band:

2 Erdpurpz, 2 FLC and 2 #61 in paper towel.

So far over 2 seasons i've had 100% germ rate from RGSC . Can't say better than that .

Was only gonna do and still may only do 3 of the PCP at the plot . So gonna either find some more space to grow or topNtail the spare in the garden. Always better to have too many than too few.

I better do some work on the plot soon .

Respect GGers .

Stay Blessed

Easy Gang...

I didn't put pics of the seeds germing and the seedlings growing , as I figure you should all know what they look like by now lol

The Troop went out in the wild this weekend so I'll start updating and filling in any gaps from now on.

I'll post some pics once I resize and label them , but for now ... here is one of the Super#61 doing her thing . :hippy:

The plot has more space now , so at least I won't have to crawl under the plants to get around this year .

Like i said , I'll fill you in on the gap over the next few posts , but there were a few problems along the way with the PCPs

Stay Blessed out there :skin_up::pitchfork:

PCP not Angel dust , but Pink Cherry Pie. However maybe a couple of these had been in contact with Angel Dust , i dunno.

I'd popped 4 PCP , all split and poked out tails.

Gave one away and 2 of the remaining 3 decided to not produce a growing tip after the 2nd set of leaves had formed.

I gave them a few days and binned one, deciding to observe the other for a few more days to see if it grew any sides or withered up.

It surprised me.

It swelled up under the 2nd set of leaves , producing a bulbous feature and began to sprout something from the 1st node ( only node).

Where we would usually see a regular branch tip began to grow what i can only describe as new cotoledons at each branch site.

They then developed growing tips of their own. So the plant now has 6 cotoledons. The original 2 and the 4 new ones ( 2 at each branch).

I was gonna do some reading into this phenomenon , but tbh, ain't had the time yet.

Nature is a weird and wonderful thing.

I'll let you know what ever I find out , but its a new one on me .

Naturally I popped another and so far its looking as good and strong as the first good one . So i'll have the 2 on the plot like planned.

Think I may have jinxed the beans by praising RGSC in the post the other week lol

@brock1 you must have had this before ?? any info?

Aneuploid possibly? Usually the results of inbreeding & incases like these often totally useless. Its a form of ploidy were at least 1 chromosome are missing or 1 added to a cell. When you breed with it is gets a health gene still and grows normal. Becomes self sterile after a few generations of breeding so no use if maintaining a strain. Can be used to find rare phenos or to breed mutations. But more often than not just breed junk. In humans its causes things like downs syndrome.

Otherwise its a damaged gene. After these don't recover & the plant will just continue to struggle but sometimes repair later. These shouldn't be used for breeding unless your trying to breed the above mentioned.

Both are the result of inbreeding or microwaves radiation normally from a xray at customs/Airport. I kinda like them but they should be kept separate if you breed with them. Their less forgiving once they enter lines. Shouldn't be shared or be worth it until you have done a lot of work with it repairing the damage. :execute:

@brock1 I won't bother potting it up then. Got too much going on to be making observations .

Was an nice little surprise but hope it was limited to these . Sounds like it could be a pain in the arse to breed out. Or just not worth it , as you say

You can get some great stuff from them but like all things you need the right 1 & time. If you don't have the time it's not worth breeding. However if it grows out it could show you a few strange things cannabis dosent normally show so it often worth just keeping around.
