Yes I do see myself being here for the long haul although it's not for everyone. 

Sure setting up a business with a Thai where they own 51% of the company is one way to do it. 

Need someone you can trust. 

I'm learning to read and write and hopefully it means in 5 years time or something, I could apply to be a pernament resident and receive a Thai I'd and passport. 

That way I could 100% own things in my name.

There's a lot of opportunity out here for people in the construction trade, plumbers, electricians, general handymen.... 

Can be a real struggle to find people to fox things.

I’m not jealous at all lol

 

i lived on Koh Chang (the one near trat, not the one on the west coast) from 1998 - 2000, stupidest thing I’ve ever did was come home lol
