You tried simply download resizing app on your phone and resize under 1mb?

 

Firefox here works np

I find taking a screen shot of your image on phone or desktops works well at resizing

 

or on desktop, email the pics to yourself then grab those images from the email (it resizes for you)

 

on a phone, when you select the images you want to up load, there’s usually an option to upload/send at a size you want

The problem is that the root zone is usually a few degrees colder. You can get away with slightly cooler ambient temps if your roots are warmed by a heat mat but even then id try to keep above 20c as a minimum

 

Purple stems definitely sounds like a temperature issue to me. Do you have a heater in there?
