getting back into it

@zen-ken I've got a pair of greys of Alnwicks , bought them painfully recently (2017) and haven't used them at all , full cork , SiC's the lot.

Sat gathering dust because I don't have the time or inclination anymore , shame really as I used to fish every weekend and a few weekday evenings without fail for 20 years.

@zen-ken I've got a 40-130 g casting weight Abu Garcia svartzonka spinning rod so I can cast the big lures hoping for the big pike

Biggest so far was around 15lb but I've only caught 3 so far but theres some 45 plus in the loch

I was just getting back into it, then me and the missus decided to move to Spain.

I've not fished at all since I've been here but I'm itching to go, I'll have to get a licence sorted out, I need one for sea fishing here.

I also forgot how frustrating it can be lol  loosing gear on the island , tangles, losing gear in the trees, tangles, losing gear in the bushes, more tangles, smoking a spliff to chill out and then dropping my phone in the lake, getting robbed and attacked by a fucking swan and kicking what was left of my bait into the water

Made me laugh that did. lol

My youngest lad got me into Carp about 8 years ago. Love it, PB 33lb 6oz at the moment, hoping to better it end of october with a trip up to the Cotswolds. Never found anything before that allows me to totally switch off.
