The ph issues on rockwool was resolved about 5/6 years ago but was never mentioned publicly to my knowledge (at least with grodan cubes) so no ph issues but can be a bitch to water to begin with as they hold a lot of water like others stated. Water logging can be a problem. Soil works fine in NFT, a better alternative to keep things simpler. The fleece matting catches any small bits of soil so doesn’t get in the res and tends to mold less than rockwool too 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
