@fatboy77

Taking cuttings of the girls over the next couple of days before I flip.

Give it a couple weeks to get them rooted and we should be good to go.

@Subliminal Criminal

All the spec should be in the previous post for the pumps act.

I'm not going to be using a res to start off with and have to mix and topup from the brain pot.

When the wife lets me have the card back I can add a res to the system in about 5 mins

It's cool, interesting enough to make me consider a hydro grow..

I've had the itch for a while now.  I really see it being fast as fuck with led these days.

It's easy when you get the hang of it.

I'm only on my 2nd hydro grow and still getting to grips but definatly worth it.

Veg is realy fast and you don't have to mess about about getting rid of soil/Coco

No pots drying out they always have water air and food whenever they want.

Here is 1 if the girls ready for flip next week.

 maybe i overdid the wake n bake, but how do the tent pots return to the brain pot?

or is the brain pot going to be your res, but you havnt connected it yet?

or dont they return to the outside pot?

, maybe drawing a diagram showing the pipework would help us dumbos

and do a diary....deffo...i think it will be rammed in there with 10 pots, personally, but you dont have to use them all eh?

Like @badbillybob just some constructive questions and not criticisms.

Is the lid fairly robust ? I found with the cheaper totes I had to support the middle when they got bigger. (make sure the light cant get through....sometimes the lids are like paper)

How is the brain connected ?

The clear pipe from the brain.....Is this for a waterfall type system ?

I could do with treating myself to a new alien or cch20 or idrolab (others available but the new idrolab and cch20 systems look the nuts compared to my cobbled together efforts lol )

Sorry if it's not very clear in the pics.

So in the Brian pot there is my water pump pulling water from the 3 Rd pot back into the brain.

This will cause the water to circulate between the 3 pots.

The lids are great. I was expecting them to sag in the middle but these are realy sturdy.

If your connectors flow less than the pump moves the buckets gonna fill before it drains.....your levels will be different.

Have you tried it yet ?

@zen-ken I haven't had it running yet as I've been working everyday.

Hoping to get it all going on monday.

That is 1 think I did think of that it may not recirculate in time to keep water levels right.

Hopefully the 40mm connections should be up to it.

If not I have some spare fan controllers could I just put that on the pump to turn in down.

if they are all connected with the drains you wont have a problem, but if its just the 2 pots in the tent that are connected then i suspect , you will.

why not just hook up the drains to the res, because it looks like thats your intention eventually anyway, and it will be beneficial in that all the pots will have the same level and you wont have to worry about floods.

i would also use solvent weld fitting myself, ive had those push fit ones leak before. its usually the seal that fails or the plastic surrounding it , and when they go.....boy do they go.....fuckin everywhere.....?

@badbillybob all the tanks are connected together so should hopefully be good.

Yeah I've had some of my alien connectors go. With 350lt in a system when it goes it sure does take some bailing out.
