purepotstill
Sorry guys, but I don't manage to decide about them. So would you chop them today ? My brain's stuck, seems like I'm unable to take a decision today so I really need some help. There are a Pineapple Glue Auto (day 91) and Critical Jack Auto (day 98). Pineapple Glue Auto : And The Critical Jack which has foxtailed a lot : Edited February 12, 2021 by purepotstill

purepotstill
Thank you. I prefer not to have too much of a couch lock effect.
superfruit
I'd give them 48hr darkness then chop, not based on extensive personal research, but I have read some comparisons between 3 plants of the same strain grown together and each given 0hrs, 48hrs and 72hrs darkness. 48hr darkness tested higher thc than 0hr. Like I said, just what I've read. I did 48hr on mine. Seems very popular. Edited February 12, 2021 by superfruit
purepotstill
@superfruit: why not, I was planning to dry them in the tent this time. Did you let the heater on or can they cope cold temps during these 48h ?
superfruit
@purepotstill I had a heat mat and oil rad running because my grow space is particularly cold. They're at end of life anyway.. but I'm not experienced enough to give you a solid answer. The cooler your tent the more RH will rise so id focus on that personally. Someone will no doubt chime in
purepotstill
@superfruit: OK, going to check the RH. It's now 18°C in the tent (but root zone is a solid 26°C), and RH is 39%, seems low enough. I'm going to off the oil rad and keep the heat mat on. If RH rises too much, I'll put the heater on. Thanks mate ! Edited February 12, 2021 by purepotstill
Bayleaf
That CJ looks really nice. I wouldn't call that foxtailing, just full growth. I usually take mine when they are just like that. Nice job.

purepotstill
@Dan t: for the trichs, it's just a small wifi microscope I bought for a bit less than 40 quids. Way easier to take pics than with my jewelry loop fixed on the back of my phone.
btk1977
They look good to go, if you've watered them recently then I'd give them a couple of days and then chop, if they haven't had a drink in a couple of days I'd chop them today. 18c is the perfect temp for drying them. I usually chop, then cut off all the fan leaves and bits of leaf that don't have any trichs on them and then hang them for about a week. You want your extraction on and ideally an oscillating fan circulating the air in the tent but not blowing directly on them.
purepotstill
Thanks for your input. Watered them 2 days ago. I'm giving them the 48 hours dark period @superfruitmentionned earlier.
