The springtails will defo do no harm now, the plants have been chopped! I took the tops off the Black Jack on day 69, and left the lower bits for a couple of days till last night, when everything got chopped. Day 72. They had all been on plain water for a couple of watering, and a decent amount of Amber's across the tops. This is the bit that gives great pleasure, at the same time as getting the heart going.. chop time! I've taken loads of pictures good and bad, I'm just going to bang them all up. Here is some final pics of the drobe.. Black Jack Cream Caramel #2 Black Jack lower buds ready for the chop.. Cream Caramel #2 Cream Caramel #1. Some rubbish close ups Rootballs: BJ CC1 CC2 And all hanging! So that's them hanging, where they will stay for the next 2 weeks give or take. I will try to keep conditions as close to 16c and 60% humidity as I can. I will slowly take fan leaves off after the first week, as they start to shrivel. Whilst my buds have been curing in glass jars, I have been chipping away so to speak at a bud of each plant, to get some time with them and get together a vape report. I have also enlisted the help of the (non toking) mrs to get a different point of view on the smells.. After I had trimmed the buds, and put a large amount of lower popcorn and sugar leaves in the freezer, I had a quick weigh in. I put both Cream Caramels together as I got confused when they were hanging and couldn't remember where each one was on the strings Anyhow, I got 54grams of Cream Caramel prime buds, and 56grams of Black Jack buds. So a very respectable yield for me, considering it was the first run of my new grow space. I have a good amount for a hash run too, when I have the time and can be bothered Cream Caramel Auto Vape Report Aroma: nose in the jar is herby, like sage, mint, thyme. Bit woody. Can sometimes smell tea! Savoury for sure. When I bust a bud open it absolutely stinks, a deep dirty sort of smell that I cant quite put my finger on. Maybe engine oil and burnt rubber. There is a slightl hash smell too. Taste: not sure yet exactly. Woody and earthy perhaps. I think it will benefit from a bit longer of a sit in the jar. Still nice mind! Effect: deep relaxation. After vaping it seems to take a relatively long time to take effect, compared with other weeds. A clear head on the first vape with a really heavy body stone. Subsequent tokes leaves you stuck in whatever position you happen to be in. So far I have been sleeping well after this. Solid body buzz effect that I would grow again for sure. Black Jack Auto Vape Report Aroma: nose in the jar is peppery, lightly lemon but that's not the overriding smell. It's got hints of aniseed and also something like blueberries.There is lots going on here and I could sniff it for hours! The mrs gets stilton followed by sour milk! (Aswell as the citrus edge) Once a bud is opened up it gets a bit more lemony and fruity. Taste: blueberries, woody with a hint of lemon. Effect: smiley weed. Makes me feel warm, sort of energetic as in if I need to do stuff on it then it's easily done. Having said that, the body buzz side can get quite intense if you let it. It's got a dreamy head, but still able to concentrate and converse. I find this is to be a nice vape anytime of day, and the room smells like that familiar woody churchy sort of smell when you walk back in after a vape. In short, I love this weed. Smells amazing, tastes moorish, puts a smile on your face. Job done Thanks once again to the Sweet Seeds team for running this awesome comp, and thanks to Joolz and the team for keeping uk420 great. Made a little bit of hash, it is from the trim and some lower fluff from the 3 plants. I have dried it and given it a quick squashing "frenchie cannoli" style, to hold it together. It melted instantly, which is a good sign ime. It needs more work yet. There are 2 separate batches from the same run, from different bags.
