Guest
Hello everyone My last two feeds were at an EC of 1.0, the run off I am testing is coming up as 0.7 Do I need to give the coco a good amount of solution made to an EC of 1.0? I'm currently putting in two litres and getting about 1.5 to 1.75litres back out. Pot size is ten litres. Should I just keep putting through solution and testing run off until both read 1.0? Thank you Sorry if this is more of a problem solver topic Edited January 17, 2021 by TheGreenShabeenReturns
tokenroll
Bump the EC up to 1.1 and test after a couple of days, atm they are eating more and drinking less. Toke...
catweazle1
If Toke's suggestion doesn't solve it add 0.2ec calmag to your feed until it goes back up.
Wrist Stem 420
I was feeding 1.0 ec and bumped it up a notch to 1.1 . You can see the difference in growth and colouration the next day .

bartman
Why do you need to measure EC of run off? Make up feed to correct and recommended EC and pH. Water until 20-30% run off and get rid of run off after 10 mins or so. Job done. Edited January 17, 2021 by bartman
Slippy One
I agree, measuring the runoff seems paranoid unless you're getting issues, don't.

He's got an issue: falling ec. Proactive intervention is better than reactive intervention. Edited January 17, 2021 by catweazle1
Wrist Stem 420
It's his first coco run and getting to grips away from soil . Give the guy a break , you can't expect people to understand things without experience .

If the coco is rendering some minerals unavailable, it's likely going to cause issues.
Guest
@bartmantrying to learn don't have a cow I thought reading the run off will help find the plants sweet spot for ec and pH like in rdwc.
